Important Nutrition Informationfor Parents and their Children
Because our diet plays a monumental role in ourmental, emotional, and physical wellbeing it iscritical that parents concerned about the health of their families take steps to educate themselvesabout supportive eating and the damage of pooreating habits.
This is especially critical for children challenged by hyperactivity, hypersensitivity, learning disabilities and increasingly common syndromes such as or similar to autism
.
While so-called nutrition experts, our government, and big agri-business conglomerates debate whatis the best diet for humans, we are moving furtheraway from our natural diet and moving moretoward what we refer to as the

diet include:
Short Term:

headaches, anxiety, skin irritation, difficulty concentrating, get hungry quickly, being tired, but ‘wired’, nervous energy, energy highs and lows, and emotional distress.

Long Term:
depression, neck, shoulder, and low back pain, weakened immune system, constipation, diabetes, cancer and other life threatening disease.

Do any of these symptoms correlate with you or your family?
Consider the behaviors commonly associated withchildren diagnosed with learning disabilities, ADD, ADHD, depression, or similar and please note themany similarities in the symptoms of thosedisorders and those of eating the S.A.D. C.R.A.P.diet. Many parents and many health and nutritionprofessionals are beginning to see the correlationsand are beginning to see significant behaviorimprovements in families and children taken off of these foods and placed on a diet of naturalunprocessed foods and clean water. Let’s brieflyexamine the effects of eating C.R.A.P. in moredetail:Refined
Sugar
: Just a couple of hundred yearsago, refined sugars were not available to humans. We ate only naturally occurring whole foods whichare complex and convert to energy slowly. Today, the average American is consuming 174 pounds of sugar per year! Sugar has no nutritional value, isin fact highly depleting and damaging to the bodyand is so overwhelming and addictive that Dr.Candace Pert in her book Molecules of Emotion hascategorized it as a Class II drug on par with Heroin! The constant hormonal roller coaster ride causedby the typical sugar-laden junk food diet overworksthe adrenal glands, which become exhausted. When this hormonal control system becomesdisturbed and unbalanced due to the stress of eating sugar; numerous other pathologicalconditions soon manifest: degenerative disease, allergies, obesity, addictions, depression andbehavioral problems. Our ability to resist diseaseprogressively decreases as processed sugarsreplace the nutrient dense foods we were designedto thrive on. The chances of acquiring any of thefollowing diseases and side effects skyrockets:
Kidney disease, Liver disease, Atherosclerosis,Coronary heart disease, ADD and ADHD, Violent tendencies, Behavioral problems, Overgrowth of yeast and fungi, Cancer, Bone loss, Tooth decay,Fatigue syndromes, Allergies, Psychological disorders, Neurological disorders, and Pain.
As awareness of the negative effects of sugargrows, food manufacturers are increasingly hidingtotal sugar content of foods. Watch packaged foodlabels for any words ending in “–ose” and for “syrups” which mask the real sugar content.
