Next Steps with Wikispaces
Editing Your Home Page
Step 1:
Click on the name of your space under “
My Spaces
”.
Step 2:
It will then open up your page which will look like this. You then need to click on the“
edit
” button.
Step 3:
Once you’ve click on that button, you will then have a page that looks like this. Youcan now start typing as though it is a regular document. There are formatting buttons for“
bold
”, “
italics
”, “
underlining
”, “
numbers
”, “
bullets
”, placing “
bars
” across a page,“
creating hyperlinks
”, “
breaking hyperlinks
”, “
inserting images
”, “
inserting atable
”, and “
inserting a table
”. The “
Format
” drop down is for larger fonts.
 
Adding Text to Your Page
Step 1:
Click the “
edit
” button.
Step 2:
 Type in your information. Try to use different formatting to make it look morevisually appealing.If you know anything about “
code
”, you can open the “
Text Editor
” at the bottom and typeyour information using codes such as “
WikiText
” and “
XML
”.
 
Step 3:
Once you’ve finished entering your information, you can either click “
preview
” tosee that it looks the way you want it to, or you can click “
save
” to go to the actual page. You can always go back in to edit your work.
Step 4:
If you click “
save
”, this is what your page should like. Notice the edit buttonreturns for you to access again.
