Communicable disease

Contagious
 Applied to disease that are easily spread directly transmittedfrom person to person or from reservoir.
Infectious
 Are those diseases not transmitted by ordinary contact butrequire a direct inoculation through a break in the previouslyintact skin or mucous membrane.
N.B.
All contagious diseases are communicable and infectiousbut not all communicable and infectious diseases are necessarilycontagious
