After receiving this book for review, I went out and bought the first few books of this series. Having read Emily March as Geralyn Dawson, I knew I couldn't go wrong. I sure am glad I did! I love the characters and the books just keep getting better and better! Keep 'em coming!

Jack & Cat's marriage feel apart after they allowed his job and the loss of their unborn daughter tear them apart. Now, thrown together by a dangerous situation Cat's journalism has placed her in, they realize their relationship may not be without a future if they can overcome the past.I enjoyed this book. It was a good story and I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters of Eternity Springs. I'm new to this series but would be interested in reading the previous & future books in it.

Another great addition to the Eternity Springs series! They are the perfect chick lit romance to lift your spirits and sooth your soul. They may be a bit predictable, but I don't mind.... sometimes that is precisely what I'm looking for in a book..... a feel-good escape that I can count on to have no disappointing surprises. I read a variety of genres and while I like all types of books... mystery, historical, romance, paranormal, etc...... Emily March is one of my 'go-to' authors for a heartwarming contemporary romance. I fell in love with the characters and the town from the time I read book one (this is book 5 in the series). After reading each of the books in this series, I have been left with a longing to live in a place like Eternity Springs and to know these wonderful characters personally. Reading 'Nightingale Way' was no different and I felt like I was spending time with old friends again.I look forward to reading her next addition to this series, 'Reflection Point'.I did receive a free copy of 'Nightingale Way' from the LibraryThing Early Reviewer program; but this did not influence my review in any way. I had already previously read and reviewed every other book in this series prior to winning a copy of this book.

This is a well-written book with nicely developed characters and an overall feel-good vibe. Unfortunately, my response is lukewarm. While I imagine other readers might really enjoy this story, I find it too mellow for my preferences. I found myself reading in spurts, easily putting the book down whenever me attention waned. Yes, I would pick it back up eventually, but more for the skae of finishing than any personal investment.

This novel is our latest visit to enchanting Eternity Springs, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The story centers around Jack Davenport, Black Ops mystery man, and wealthy owner of Eagle's Way. The mansion sits atop a mountain, is visited by few, and is Jack's very private retreat.Catherine Blackburn Davenport known as Cat, is a journalist that seems to find dangerous breaking stories. She just reported on a dog fighting conspiracy, that involves celebrities, and politicians alike. A fire bombing at her home demonstrates how much her life is in danger. Jack and Cat share a heartbreaking secret that tore their life and marriage apart. Now Cat needs protection. Jack will put his anger and heartbreak aside, and risk his life to keep her safe.Eternity Springs is thriving, Angels Rest is a great success, and the mystery of the Runaway Bride is still a mystery. Celeste is still charming people's lives , and talking about moving on.I thoroughly enjoyed this visit to Eternity Springs, would highly recommend it to other readers, and can't wait for the next story.

This was my first Emily March book and I went in already assuming it would be one of them stereotypical-sappy-love story types. BIG mistake!! She surprised me with Jack and Cat's character's. They have presence in the story, you can actually feel who they are through the pages. Without giving anything away, I will say reading this made me want to go looking for my own Eternity Springs! She lets you get to know ALL the characters in town and makes you want to run out and by their stories so you can keep up with the people. I know that I will be looking out for more from Emily March's Eternity Spring series because I want to find out what happens with Jack and Cam's Mountain! Happy reading people!!

I was given a copy of Nightingale Way for the purpose of writing a review. This is a wonderful story of second chances. Jack Davenport and Catherine "Cat" Davenport were deeply in love, but Jack's work with the CIA caused tension in the marriage. It did not help that Cat's mother Melinda is also Jack's boss. From the start Melinda tried to squelch the relationship and made various warnings to both Cat and Jack, but they were in love and didn't listen. As hurts begin to pile up, arguments take place, words are said, feelings are hurt and a child is lost, their relationship fails under the weight of it all. They both believe they were the one wronged and they chose to walk away and not talk things out or finish business between them. Both rebuild their lives on shaky foundations, too stubborn to fully admit it and both still having profoundly deep feelings that will never go away. Cat has become a widely known investigative reporter and has had a few brushes with the wrong types of people. Jack is still with the CIA working under Cat's mother Melinda and is one of the best at what he does. When Cat's house is fire bombed Melinda calls in Jack to make sure her daughter is kept safe and she knows he is the only person that can do it. Melinda also feels that it is finally time to air the dirty laundry and settle things once and for all, so that they each can have fulfilling lives and be happy. This book is about is about love and how it can hurt and heal. Jack and Cat have to learn how to talk to one another, to listen and actually hear and to support and be supported. Knowing where their love led them before and the deep scars that it left on each of them, they both must begin to break down the walls they have built around their hearts and heal.I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found the writing to be good, characters well-developed and the storyline interesting.

I received this book as part of the Early Reviewers group on Library Thing. This would be a great book for the beach or for a long flight. It was a pretty quick read, a general romance sort of book. I didn't dislike it, but I can't say I really enjoyed it either. I'm still unclear on why a lot of things happened in the book (the arrest for instance...why did they need to get arrested?). Some events felt rushed or anticlimactic which could be partly due to the fact that I haven't read any of the other books in this series. It's not a bad book, it's just not my cuppa, though I imagine there are many people who would enjoy it.

Cat Blackburn is a writer and animal rescuer who ends up being kidnapped by her ex-husband Jack Davenport after her house is firebombed. Cat has ticked off several people by writing an article about a local dog fighting ring. Jack gets a call from his boss (and Cat’s mother) to get her away from home for a while until things calm down. He brings her to his rural home in Eternity Springs and they discover that the feelings they once had for each other are still there. Cat gets involved with the community and begins writing for the local newspaper with Jack as her photographer. Jack reconnects with his cousin Cam and finds out that he enjoys his life in a small town setting. Seems great, life could be wonderful….However, the issues that drove Cat and Jack apart are still there. One issue is Jack’s job and the fact that he works for Cat’s mother in some shadowy government agency. The major divide between them and the catalyst for the end of their marriage was the fact the Cat was pregnant and had to deliver a stillborn child while Jack was away on a mission, and when he returned she was unable to cope with her anger and grief. The two never supported each other or acknowledged each other’s feelings and the marriage disintegrated. The whole Eternity Springs series has been about healing fractured relationships and this book is no different. Two people in a supportive environment, able to enjoy each other’s company without the pressures that drove them apart enable them to communicate and look at each other in a new light. The normalcy of life in a small, connected, community helps them to figure out what it is they really want from life and each other. Jack realizes that he wasn’t able to make Cat realize how much the loss of their baby affected him and went into his big, bad, agent persona. Cat learns that she didn’t give Jack a chance to grieve with her and how her actions added to their split. When Jack gets an opportunity for a new job, Cat decides that she will bow out and let him be free without even discussing it with him. Old habits die hard and this couple has to work to be together.I have enjoyed all of the books in this series and this one was a nice addition. The idea of life in a small town full of wonderful people is comforting and adds to the overall feeling of the series. One of the themes regarding the town’s past is cleared up in this book. It is always nice to see how life is moving for characters from earlier books and to see other characters that you would like to learn more about- like Sheriff Zach! I hope we will see more of Eternity Springs.

I received this book through the Early Reviewers and absolutely loved it. The characters were made to feel real to me and I could sympathize with their trials. This author will go on my list of must reads for her other books.
