-What actually happened with the country you are writing about in the historical Congress of Vienna?
After the Congress of Vienna, parts of Italy were given to Austria andFrance. Between these two, Austria received more land than France (Austria- Tuscany, Modena, Venetian part of Dalmatia, and the Lombardo-Venetiankingdom [to compensate Austria for its loss of the Austrian Netherlands]Italy- Naples, Sicily, and Parma, Piacenza, and Guastalla were awarded toFrench Empress Marie Louise for her lifetime).
-Pros & Cons of that result
Among these territorial changes, there were many other alterations.Ferdinand IV was recognized and the king of the two Sicilies (the island of Sicily and, roughly, the bottom half of the boot). The Papal States wererecovered along with Savoy, Nice, and Piedmont after the kingdom of Sardinia was restored. It also received Liguria with Genoa. The re-division of Italy helped lead to Nineteenth Century unificationbetween 1859 and 1870. Italy became viewed as a "geographicalexpression", not a political entity, after being divided into eight parts (Parma,Modena, Tuscany, Lombardy, Venetia, Piedmont-Sardinina, the Papal States,

Naples-Sicily) under the control of different powers. With Austria having morecontrol over the country they also had more influence, which most likely ledto a slower transition to the unification of Italy.
-With the hindsight you have now, how would you have changed what happened with your country?
If not keeping much of the land free, I would have tried to keep Austriafrom getting as much land as they originally received. They had control of much of the mainland, along with Dalmatia. At least, evenly distributebetween France and Austria.
-Do any of them want the same thing?-How might our opponents ally together to achieve their goal?
Russia was the most likely candidate for an ally to Austria, notpertaining to Italy, but to Germany. These two countries strove to keepPrussia from getting much land. Prussia seemed to be all alone in theirbattles. But France and Austria were the two countries battling over Italy.
