Karma: Forbidden Love/Infidelity Karma is about the love story of Gita and Ganesh, a couple who met in an inconvenient

circumstance. Both esteemed Hindus, loyal to their faith. They were married. The only problem was it was not to each other. They were having an affair behind their partners back, when both were faultless. They were physically intimate, showing their love through sexual gratification. They thought that the astrologers who had matched them to others had read the signs wrong. They believed they were meant to be together, but were restrained by their beliefs and restricted by their commitment to another person. They thought that the only way to be together was to be reborn once again, this time as rattlesnakes. This situation is not uncommon nowadays where scandals, cheating and lies are wellbroadcasted that some people cant tell the lie from the truth. Forbidden love may both be the cause and effect of infidelity. Being married to a person means being committed to him physically, emotionally and spiritually. You have the freedom to make decisions, but that doesnt give you the power to hurt the person youve made a promise to. Much more than love is promised in the sacred ceremony that is marriage. Loyalty and faith are too. Many divorces are due to that reason. Personally, I condemn infidelity. A relationship and the people involved in it are jeopardized because of it. If the reason behind it is forbidden love or unhappiness in it, then they could always get themselves out of that marriage if they choose to be with somebody else. It should not result to lying to their partners. I, however, believe in second chances. Despite the clich, people make mistakes. Its the truth. I believe in forgiveness because at the end of the day, families and people who love each other are involved. They are the ones most affected by it.
