Drafting duties encompassed a process beginning with the interpretation of written instructions and ending with hand drawn landscape plans used for both installers and client presentations. After three months, a promotion to Floor Manager added new responsibilities. These included: Sorting and cataloging over 800 different varieties of plants over a six acre nursery with approximately three new deliveries of plants each week culminating in the completion of the nurserys weekly inventory. Becoming competent in all administrative tasks which entailed the preparing of client files, preparing signage and hand tags, customer service, knowledge of plant inventory, answering phones and directing customer inquires accordingly, creating policy documents, cash register and nursery opening and closing operations, and making contact with other professionals regarding landscape installation. Manage the day to day operation of the nursery including daily irrigation checks, preparation of all customer installing jobs, organizing staff and preparing daily job tasks to perform, and working with clients to design low maintenance green spaces for their home.
