2012DearMr.Conrad,IamwritingtoyoubecauseyouareamemberoftheCaliforniaBar,presumablyawareoftheethicalandlegalresponsibilitiesofanon-profitboardofdirectors,andbecauseyouarelistedastheAgentof ServiceforUnfetteredMind(hereafterUM),aCalifornia501c3Corporation,#C1669749.Youarealso theSecretaryofUM'sBoardofDirectors(hereafterBOD)accordingtoinformationprovidedbyGuidestar(guidestar.org)whichIreceivedbywayofAnOliveBranch(hereafterAOB;an-olive- branch.org),anorganizationdedicatedtofosteringpeacefulandeffectivesolutionsfornon-profits,with aspecialtyinBuddhistorganizations.IamoneoftwoindividualswhohavetriedtolodgegrievancesagainstMr.KennethMcLeod(hereafterKM)UM'sExecutiveDirectorandawell-knownBuddhistteacher.EachofushascontactedUMPresidentStephanieSiebertprivatelyandthenbywayofAOB.TheidentityoftheothergrievantisknowntomeandAOB.Presumablyheridentitycanbeobtainedbyyoufromthatorganization.Ms. Siebertshouldalsobewellawareofheridentity.Iamintouchwiththatgrievantbuthavenotasked permissiontorevealheridentityinthisletter,soIshallrefertoherasGrievant2.Iamalsotheauthorofablog(patriciaivanconnections.blogspot.ca)dedicatedtodiscussingtheinstitutionofagrievancepolicyandprocedureforUM.Theblogbringstolightseriousdifficultiesinthe waytheUMBoardPresidenthasdealtwithgrievantssofar.Thesedifficultiesareasfollows:1)Theonly"policyandprocedure"Ms.SieberthasofferedsofaristhatImustsubmitmygrievancetoheraloneandtrusthertoconveyittotheUMBOD.2)Grievant2(inananonymouscommenttomypostofAugust2whichIhaveverified)statesthat,whenshesubmittedhergrievancetoMs.Siebert,itwasdeniedbyKManddismissedsummarily byMs.Siebert.3)Ms.SiebertwasmentionedtomeasaclosepersonalconfidanteatthetimeofmyrelationshipwithKMandismentionedassuchinsomeofmycorrespondencewithhim.4)InanemailofJuly232012Ms.Siebertwroteprivatelytothreewell-knownBuddhistteacherspreviouslycontactedbymeandmadequestionableclaimsandseveralinaccurateandirresponsibleaccusationsagainstme.(ThatletterwasmadeavailabletomebyJeffTipp,oneoftheteachers,intheinterestsoftransparency.)Iwilltakeupeachoftheseclaimsandallegationsseparatelybelow.Theyare: i.ThatIam"theonlyonecomplaining;" ii.That

Mr.Conrad,IamwritingtoyoubecauseIhavenoideawhatyouoranyotherboardmemberknowsaboutanyofthis.IhavehadnocontactwithanyboardmemberorUMrepresentativeotherthanMs.Siebert.Shehasrefusedtodivulgetheemailaddressesofotherboardmembersandhasevenrefusedtoprovidemewiththeirnames,whichshouldbepublicinformation.FourofMs.Siebert'sstatements abovearepatentlyfalse.Oneofthemisquestionableand,nomatterhowoneanswersthequestionsaboutit,moreseriousquestionsareraisedabouttheethicsandcompetencyoftheUMBOD.IwilladdressMs.Siebert'sclaimsonebyone:i.ThatIamlitheonlyonecomplaining."Ms.SiebertwascontactedbyGrievant2withanallegationaboutKen'sbehaviourwithher.Thiscanbe confirmedwithGrievant2.Ms.SiebertwasalsocontactedbyAOBaboutGrievant2'sallegation.Iamin receiptofaMay3rd2012emailfromMr.StevenCoraorofAOBinwhichhereportsthathecontactedMs.Siebertandinformedherthat"twopersonswhocontactedus[AOB]withallegationshadnotfeltheardanddidnotfeelliketheyweretakenthroughagrievanceprocess."ii.Thatlitodatetherehavenotbeenanysuchallegations"[warrantingagrievanceprocedure);Theparagraphabove,respondingtoMs.Siebert'sclaimthatIamtheonlyonecomplaining,alsofalsifies thisclaimthattherehavenotbeen

allegations.Grievant2madeallegationsandMs.Siebertisawareofthem.Asformyownallegations,inaFebruary112011emailtoMs.Siebert,Ireferto"my experience"with"inappropriateboundaries."ThecontextofthatlettershouldhavemadeplainIwas referringtomyrelationshipwithKM.Incaseitwasnotforsomereason,inanemailofJanuary52012 frommetoKM{whichMs.SiebertmentionshasbeenforwardedtoherinheremailtomeofJanuary82012}Iwriteof"alifethatwasshatteredbywhathappenedbetween[meandKM]"andthat"tothis dayIfeeldeeplyoffended,betrayedandviolated..."iii.ThatIdemonstrateda"refusaltocooperate;"By"refusaltocooperate"Ms.SiebertispresumablyreferringtomyrefusaltosubmitawrittenaccountofmyrelationshipwithKMtoherandtoheralone.ImadeplaintoMs.SiebertfrommyfirstemailtoherofFebruary112011,thatIknewshewasaclosepersonalfriendofKM'sandhisconfidanteduringourrelationship.SinceshewasalreadyawareofmyrelationshipwithKM,IdidnotthinkthatIhadto spelloutwhatshealreadyknew;namelythatheenteredintoanintimaterelationshipwithmethatbeganwhileIwashisstudent.InallmydealingswithMs.Siebert,shehasneveronceacknowledgedthatsheknewofthatrelationship withKMwhenitoccurredandherapparentconflictofinterest.Recently,inanemailofJuly242012,I pointedhertoaSeptember162009emailfromKMinwhichhewritestome:"WhenIwroteaboutspeakingwithyouinperson,itwaspartiallybecauseIwasexperiencingagreatdealofshameaboutus,somuchthatIcouldn'tseehowtolivewithit.Aconversationwithmy
