By Roger BianchiniWarren County ReportOn August 14, 01 at 5:47 p.m.the Warren County Sheri’s Ocereceived a 911 call advising o a stab-bing in progress at the school busstop, pull-o area at the entrance tothe Apple Mountain Subdivision onApple Mountain Road. When depu-ties arrived on scene they ound by-standers treating a white emale whohad multiple stab wounds.In a WCSO press release the ol-lowing day, the emale victim wasidentied as Lakisha Henry, 33 yearso age, with the last known address o 90 Rambo Court, Linden, VA. Depu-ties also located the suspect, iden-tied as Ricky Brian Henry, whitemale, 3, and the husband o the vic-tim, who was subdued by bystandersat the scene.Lakisha Henry was treated at thescene by medical personnel. Shewas then transerred by helicopterto INOVA Hospital in Fairax whereshe was still in Intensive Care, listedin critical condition the day ater theattack. Mrs. Henry suered numer-ous stab wounds to her entire body,the WCSO press release reported.Initial unveried inormation re-ceived by this reporter indicatedthe victim was putting children intoa van at the Apple Mountain Roadbus stop/pull over at the time shewas attacked by her husband; andthat Ricky Henry was subdued at thescene by three males present at thetime o the attack. One person said awitness told her the assailant “cameout o the woods” on oot.Ricky Henry was taken into custo-dy by the deputies on scene “withoutincident,” the Aug. 15 press releasereported. Ricky Henry’s “last knownaddress” was also reported as 90Rambo Court, Linden, VA.According to Sheri Daniel McEa-thron, Henry was serving a sentenceon drug related charges and was inthe Warren County Jail’s Work Re-lease Home Electronic MonitoringProgram at the time o the attack. Itwas not immediately clear i eitheror both the assailant and victim werecurrently utilizing the unortunately-named Rambo Court home addressat the time o the attack.Ricky Henry was transported toWarren Memorial Hospital and wastreated or minor injuries he sueredduring the incident. Henry was re-leased rom the hospital and trans-ported to the Warren County Jailwhere he was served two arrest war-rants: one or attempted rst degreemurder and the other or aggravatedmalicious wounding o Lakisha Hen-ry.Ricky Henry is being held withoutbond on both charges and his nextcourt date is set or August 17, 01at 10 a.m. in Juvenile & Domestic Re-lations Court.

Pickup slams into old Stickley’s Stationary building
Shortly ater 4 p.m. Tursday aternoon, Aug. 16, a pickup truck, believed to have been northbound, let North Royal Avenue and slammed into the rontwindow o the vacant Stickley’s Stationary building next to the Liberty Gas Station on the 500 block o North Royal Avenue. Police were questioninga man at the scene who appeared uninjured, i somewhat distressed, as other oceers were cordoning o the entire block and diverting trac o thatblock o North Royal Avenue. Now we know the Front Royal own Council has been discussing easing up commercial parking restrictions to help acili-tate commercial development o vacant properties, but this may be taking that line o thought a little too ar. No urther detail was available at press time.
