The most comprehensive masterpiece of a technical writing document. Exhaustive and wonderfully presented.Nothing is left out and yet there is no duplication of material. Graphics are beyond belief. It is a priceless gift to all IMAC devotees. Here Here
Gratefully, R Johnson

I need help on turning on my imac g3. It's the classic white model. The main on switch on the front will not turn it on. Is there a on switch inside /under the body casing that I can use?

This is more than what I was looking for! All I wanted was to be able to disassemble my Mac. I was going to poke around inside myself to troubleshoot its ills. Instead, I found a SERVICE GUIDE as well. I was able to troubleshoot my problem with confidence. Thanks!

Thanks for the help. There were a few things different about mine, but all I wanted were the HD and CD.

We can hope that the engineering team that designed the layout of this package has been banned forever from the Cupertino campus.

What a mess!!

Really great. Wish I had found this before I started removing screws. Ended up with three left over screws but learned a long time ago that Apple puts more than enough in their computers so that if you leave a few out it usually doesn't make a difference. Your pictures were most helpful.

no, the g3 imacs (and their descendants) were built too tightly so there's little room for many upgrades. but an external case for a HD can be found for under $20 (typically around $30 or so, check newegg.com) and are a fast way to upgrade without getting rid of your old drive.

Question, I'm very familiar with PC hardware still learning MAC's. It maybe a stupid question, can you houses two hard drives in a G3 iMAC.
