 RESOLUTION NO. 12-R-118A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CHANGES TO CHAPTERS 1135 AND 1155OF THE MENTOR MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE, AND DECLARING ANEMERGENCYWHEREAS, the City of Mentor currently does not permit the establishment of commercial firing ranges within city limits but desires to allow such use as aconditionally permitted activity in industrial zoned areas;NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF MENTOR, COUNTY OF LAKE, STATE OF OHIO:SECTION 1. The Mentor City Council hereby initiates an amendment to theMentor Municipal Zoning Code by referring the following proposed changes to thePlanning Commission for its recommendation on these or any additional changes relatingto permitting commercial firing ranges in Industrial Districts:
(a) As set forth in Chapter 1155, Conditional Use Permits shall be required asfollows:C-1, R-1, R-2, R-3, R-4, R-5Churches Recreational UsesSchools Public FacilitiesAgricultural and Horticultural Uses (except C-1, permitted per Chapter 1155)Cemeteries Home occupationsRenting of Rooms Family Homes for Mentally Retarded/ DevelopmentallyDisabled Children or AdultsC-1Heights over 35 feet.C-2Heights over 50 feet Other similar usesR-10Home occupations Adult Group HomePrivate Schools Licensed Residential Group Facility forIndependent Living Development mentally retarded/developmentallydisabled children or adultsRVGRenting of RoomsHome occupation
