Over the last two years we have received many messages from prison staff andothers who have found the principles in the handbook very useful as a context forthe way they do their work. Many of them have asked for more information abouthow to transfer these principles into the detailed work they do every day. They alsoregularly ask us to provide examples of good practice from around the world. Thereis clearly a demand for updated information on a regular basis about how to manageprisons within a human rights context. This newsletter is intended to meet thatdemand.Over the last two years we have received many messages from prison staff andothers who have found the principles in the handbook very useful as a context forthe way they do their work.
