Great Outdoors Week with the SUPERHERO SNOWFLAKES

(Ks & 1st graders)

Tarzan and Indiana Jones will not have anything on us after this week. The Superhero Snowflakes will be able to eat bugs and wrestle alligators by Friday. Ok, maybe not...but we will have a lot of fun learning about camping and surviving outdoors. Well set up tents, make smores and learn to make a campfire. We will also make shelters from branches at Discovery Park on Tuesday and engage ourselves in nature on Thursday at Foster Island. So remember to have good hiking shoes, backpacks and water bottles to learn what kids did before computers and T.V!!! Steve and Angelina

Breakfast is an important meal and we serve a breakfast snack at Kids Inc. but it is only out for those early morning campers. The children run and play hard and need the energy to make it to lunch. Please make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast at home before coming to camp! Thank you for your cooperation.

Great Outdoors Week with the THE MUMMIES

(3rd -5th Grades)

Great Outdoors Week with the DRAGONS

(1st & 2nd Grades)

For our last week of summer camp the Dragons are planning to appreciate the great outdoors in a number of different ways. On Monday were going back to the beach at Golden Gardens to wade in the Sound and enjoy the salty breeze in our hair. Please send a towel, bathing suit and shoes that can get wet along with lunch and a water bottle. Tuesday well put up our yurt for a base camp to work out of as we explore the art of Andy Goldsworthy and make our own outdoor sculptures. Wednesday we go to Discovery Park and Thursday we wrap everything up with a North Coast cook-out and Northwest wild animal games. Weve had a wonderful summer with the Dragons and wish everyone a happy new school year! Lindsay and Polly

Its Outdoor week and our last week will only be four days but with lots to do! (remember we are closed on Aug 31st, Sept. 3rd & 4th), On Monday we are heading to the Woodland Park Zoo to check out the new snow leopards and Wednesday we are off to the UW Arboretum to enjoy lunch on Lake Washington. On Tuesday there will be a plethora of outdoor projects, we will end the summer on Thursday playing a Survival Adventure Game and Blind Walk in the morning and after lunch will do outdoor crafts and play a game of Follow the Leader to end our summer of fun!!! Jay and Amira

Beach Day/Park Day/Everyday

Please note the schedule above for Beach and Park day. Dont forget to apply that sunscreen before your child gets here to Kids Inc. everyday, and especially on all beach/park days, the kids will be leaving by 9:10 and returning by 3:00 pm. Washington Administrative Code insists that either all children have freezer packs in their lunch or we must carry portable coolers on our fieldtrips. We are asking for your support. Please make sure that your child has a freezer pack in their lunch. A frozen water bottle works great. Thanks for your help.
