Executive Summary
On the afternoon and evening of August 27, 2012, Gravis Market-ing and Capitol Correspondentconducted a survey of 1,397 indi-viduals in the state of Ohio. Thequestions covered preference forthe presidential candidates, Sen-ate candidates Josh Mandel andSherrod Brown, GovernorKasich’s job performance, wheth-er America is headed in the rightdirection, which presidential can-didate is more charitable, andopinions about same sex sexualpractice and marriage. The fulllist of questions are given on page3. Overall, with a margin of errorof 3.0%, Obama leads Romneyby a 45.3% to 44.4% margin.The Senate race also remainswithin the statistical margin of error, with Democrat SherrodBrown holding a narrow 43.6% to41.4% lead over Republican JoshMandel. The margin of error forthe Senate poll is 3.1%. Bothpolls indicate that the undecidedvoters will decide the outcome of the election.
