Legal, Ethical and Digital Environments is an introduction to the legal system as it pertains to modern business in the United States. This course traverses the history of the legal system from its roots in morality until modern day where students will tackle the substantive legal principles that often effect business, particularly from the perspective of an entrepreneur. Upon completion, students will have a foundational understanding of a variety of legal and ethical concerns that may affect the ownership and operation of a modern business and the ramifications such concerns may have upon said businesses. Furthermore, students will be challenged to rethink their values, how they learn, and develop critical thinking skills within the scope of a course on legal studies.

STUDENT PREPARATION, DETAILED DESCRIPTION, AND REQUIREMENTS OF EACH CLASS ASSIGNMENT: Students must self-enroll in the course with this URL: https://canvas.instructure.com/enroll/BXPM7G. ***All content listed under a particular day is to be completed before class that day! 3. COURSE OBJECTIVES: By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Conduct cost/benefit financial analyses of sustainability issues facing organizations 2. Make knowledgeable sustainability recommendations based on tangible and intangible considerations 3. Understand how sustainability is critical from a personal perspective and business perspective, including but not limited to: technology, finance, marketing, ethics and management Specifically, students will increase their knowledge, skills and abilities in vital management areas including but not limited to: 1. Critical thinking and decision making 2. Financial analysis and reporting

Professional communication skills including business writing, conducting professional and effective meetings, making professional presentations, giving and receiving constructive feedback and time management 4. Effective team development and management, including problem solving and conflict resolution 5. Individual self-awareness about personal responsibility and contribution to global sustainability 6.
