He apparently did notexpect that such a discovery would be made; but I hope to show that when the cuneiforminscriptions found in Babylonia and now available for anyone's inspection are sudied from a newpoint of view, that discovery is ours.In support of this new point of view, extracts from works leading Assyriologists are quoted inthe following pages, and their translations of the inscriptions are given. It can scarcely bethought presumptuous on my part if I suggest a new applicaton of those inscriptions consideringthat the deductions already drawn from them are indeterminate and unconvincing. While takingadvantage of them I make bold to suggest that their decipherers, like others before them, maysometimes have "failed to see the woods for the trees."That the writers, from whose works I quote, hold different views from my own naturally makesany of their evidence that supports my views the more convincing because it is involuntary.Since the history which they have deduced from Babylonian inscriptions is admittedlyconjectural, and rests upon a certain hypothesis described by one of them as almost incredible, itis well that some other hypothesis should be tested, and I claim that my new version of Babylonian history rests upon a much more reasonable one. That a new interpretation should be welcome is suggested by Professor Sayce's words:"Both in Egypt and Babylonia, therefore, we are thrown back upon the monumental textswhich the exacavator has recovered from the soil, and the decipherer has pieced togetherwith infinite labour and patience.... The conclusions we form must to a large extent betheoretical and provisional, liable to be revised and modified with the acquisition of fresh material or a more skilful combination of what is already known." (
The Religions of  Ancient Egypt and Babylonian,
p.3)And also by Professor T. Eric Peet, who writes:"Archaeology can in no sense be termed an exact science, that is to say, its conclusionsrarely follow with mathematical certainty from its premises, and indeed but toofrequently they do not rise above the level of mere nebulous possibilities or probabilities.

This state of things is partly to be accounted for by the very nature of its subject matter, butalso, in the opinion of the writer, by the fact that archaeologists have hitherto made no attempt tocome to any kind of agreement as to the conditions which must be satisfied by a train of archaeological reasoning in order that it may acquire cogency. We are doubtless all toblame in this, and in our defence it can only be urged that the constant accumulation of fresh material has tended to distract our attention from a really critical use of theevidence already available." (
 Journal of Egyptian Archaelogy, 1922
No.8.)Neither fresh material nor a skilful combination is offered in this little work, but a newcombination of the facts already known about ancient Babylonia taken in conjunction with theBible Records which I claim to be the Master key to the problem of the ancient civilization of that country.I have been asked to say that the Council of the B.I.W.F. does not associate itself with myviews about the preadamites and the Deluge.LIST OF ILLUSTRATIONS.Cast of Double Headed Bust FrontispieceNaram-Sin Facing Page 23Sumerian Royalities 23Cylinder with Eight Figures 55Adam, Eve and the Serpent 60Cherubims in Babylonian Art 60Taking the Hand of Bel 60Demeter with Little Pig 91The Sun God, Merodach or Marduk 100A "Sumerian" 102Three Semites and a "Sumerian" 103Trial of Adam 121Babylonian Cylinder Seal 121Naram-Sin, with Horned Helmet 142Babylonian God 149Babylonian Drawing, Small Head 149Babylonian Libation Cup 149

 I. SARGON THE MAGNIFICENT" Great floods have flownFrom simple sources, and great seas have driedWhen miracles have by the greatest been denied."It has been said that nothing worth proving can be proved, and certainly this applies to the theoryput forward in this little book; but I hope to interest the reader in my attempt to show that thestories told in the first chapters of Genesis harmonise with the researches of modernarchaeologists, and provide a key to some otherwise unsolved problems.

Thanks Inga for uploading, "Sargon the Magnificent." I had been wanting to read it. I learned a lot from it, and especially how it all fits with the mythology stories.

I've read the book, and I came to the conclusion that the "blackheads" are the true Babylonions, and they must be the black race who held Judah in captivity shortly after Israel went into captivity to Assyria, and they were let loose from their captivity and crossed the Caucas mountains afterward, and were called saxon's..sons of Issac..being transliterated. So I take it literal that the Babylonians are the black race, and Cain(Sargon)translated, Came to Babylon and taught them how to garden so well They created the famous hanging gardens in Babylon. I believe that Barack Obama is the first sihns of Babylon being rebuilt in these later days. Until I am proven otherwise. Thanks for your paitence, May God inspire you to the End.

Jakobic...if you read the Abrahamic Covenant by E.Raymond Capt...available here, you will see they were Caucasions...

Remember that Abram's (Ibrahim) father was from Ur of the Chaldees - Babylon... so - were his posterity "in captivity" in Babylon or returning home? Also remember that at once it was only the priest class and the elite who were taken to Babylon, and Mechisedek returned with the "oral law" that became the Babylonian Talmud, the most central, and sacred part of their teachings/doctrine then, and now
