I decided to pack my CNE notebook as it was a lot of info, and I thought what better time to review it than while sitting onthe beach :) I had just co-listed a property with a colleague of mine from the same office. She had recently had ababy and wasn't able to devote too much time to it, so we decided on a 40-60 split (I would take the 60).Wouldn't you know that while I was gone, she received an offer? It was a very solid offer, close to asking price,etc. However, for some reason
she could not get the buyer and seller to agree and the deal fell through.
When I returned a few days later, I was quite surprised to hear the news. I told my co- lister that I wanted to have a goat it and try to save the deal. Armed with my CNE strategies and newly found confidence, I went for it. I sat down with the sellers, explained to them they had a solid buyer with a great offer on the table. In this market, it would be hard to get anything better. I also uncovered a couple of other issues they had. I was then able to goback to the buyer, give him what he wanted and ask for a couple things for the seller in return. The buyer agreed and the deal was struck. The seller felt better (they had gotten something they wanted) and realized that to walk away would only hurt them in the long run. Needless to say
, I was glad I was able to save the deal
. I felt like I earned my 60% and
I saw firsthand how the CNE training was going to help me in my real estate career.

that my co-lister had over 8 years experience, and I have only had 1 1/2 years in the real estate business
