Time to vote… and be voted or
May is the month o local elections in Scotland and we bringyou a story o a homeless man who is standing as a candidate inEdinburgh’s Leith ward. He’s slept rough, and or the past ourdecades has lived without permanent accommodation. His aim is to oer a dierent voice in the political process andtry to engage with voters who are disillusioned with career politi-cians who have lost touch with the challenges o ordinary lie.Meanwhile, it seems that the 20 per cent drop in home-lessness that the Scottish Government reported earlier thisyear, may not be all it seems. It’s that old story o changingthe way you record the problem, not the problem itsel.As always, get in touch and let us know what you think.
