Te mission of the Career & echnical Education Programs at Mt San Jacinto College is to engage, prepare, and educate learners, commu-nities, and employees for careers in a global and competitive workforce.
Career & Technical Education (CTE) has made tremendous progress in the expansion and oering o courses. We are continuingto update curriculum to meet industry standards and expand job opportunities or the workorce. We have available at all o ourlocations, courses that can lead to a certifcate and/or associate degree.

Te nation’s vitality depends upon a well-educated citi-zenry. Te goal o the college sta is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential to liv-ing in and contributing to an ever-changing democraticsociety. Te college’s programs and services are designedto assist students to develop personal autonomy, socialcompetence, social conscience, and creative capacity.Recognizing that education is a personal achievementgained through opportunity and an individual’s aim tosucceed, Mt. San Jacinto College is committed to pro-viding the resources such achievement requires includ-ing:
1. General education: 
o provide opportunities orstudents to develop skills in learning, critical thinking,leadership, organization, and techniques or makingintelligent choices.
2. Transfer education:
 o provide the rst two yearso college-level courses or those students who plan totranser to a our-year college or university.
3. Career education
: o oer courses and programs invaried vocational/technical elds or students to gainentry-level occupational skills, enhance career changes,or upgrade skills or career advancement.
4. Transitional education:
 o oer courses in develop-mental or remedial education or students who need toimprove English and mathematics prociency in prepa-ration or college-level courses.
5. Counseling and guidance:
o encourage studentgrowth and development through specialized counselingin the areas o academic planning, career planning andpersonal development.
6. Special programs and services:
 o extend specialprograms and services to students who are disadvantagedand/or disabled.
7. Continuing Education: 
o provide an enrichedenvironment throughout the community by oeringvocational, recreational and cultural programs.
