Dear Scribd, I am a journalist and journalism assistant professor in Australia. I am writing because I'm quite concerned about what looks like a breach of one of my Scribd accounts (http://www.scribd.com/julieposetti) I had uploaded two documents - both internal News Corp documents about the restructure and job losses underway in Australia. One document was a memo to Gold Coast Bulletin staff, the other was to all digital staff from the group Editor Campbell Reid. These were the only two documents I'd loaded to this account, and as the page stats indicate, they'd had 727 reads. However, both of these documents have been removed by someone other than me. This is quite disturbing as it indicates to me that either a) my account has been hacked or b) a journalist sharing information provided by whistleblowers and published in the public interest has had documents removed by Scribd without consultation or notification in response to a (spurious) Digital Media Copyright Act complaint. Could you please advise which of the scenarios above is responsible for this removal? And can you please provide details from your records of when and via which IP address the removal occured? Meantime, I will re-publish the documents at my other Scribd account (http://www.scribd.com/jposetti) Best wishes, Julie Posetti
