The Marketing Communications department at the University of Denver offers a greatopportunity to learn filming, editing and animation design techniques while immersed in a real-life video production department. We have many professional tools that the student will beusing including a teleprompter, camera jibs and dollies as well as professional lighting, camerasand editing software.
This internship position will be tasked with assisting the DU videographer with:
Field production, assisting with video set-up, videotaping and post-shoot break-down(these duties may include carrying tripods and other possible lifting duties)
Basic post-production work including non-linear video editing and graphic design(hands-on video editing and PhotoShop/AfterEffects opportunities as time allows)
Positive outlook and professional demeanor; tactful, diplomatic approach along with theability to work effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment;
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects on schedule;
Show initiative in tackling problems and tasks; strong organizational and projectmanagement skills;
Demonstrate the willingness and ability to effectively work in, adapt to and managechange; ability to work collaboratively and enthusiastically with others to achieveorganizational goals;
Must provide exceptional service to both internal and external clients and constituents,
A basic understanding of non-linear editing and HD filming techniques will be helpful.
