STATES COME TOGETHER FOR AGM

This was held on Saturday 25th August and timed to coincide with the SHC Na-tional Sub Committee Meeting which was held on Sunday 26th August, venuebeing “Mecure Airport Hilton”, Wolli Creek. This served purpose of keeping light travel costs down and not interfering with work hours. Interstate Representa-tives attended from Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria , Western Aus-tralia and Tasmania while all NSW Clubs were also in attendance.

Yvette Pietsch, Partner at Pitcher Partners gave a review of Council’s inancialposition which while showing a loss of $40,000 this year is solvent and highlight-ed costs of services provided to members in NSW are not able to be sustained at present rate of just $2.75 per member; the major part of subscriptions appor-tioned for Insurance & to the Clubs. A review will be undertaken to encouragenew members & attract more entries to our Shows as this proit can help to offset costs.Due to recent changes to SHC Constitution, nominations for Ofice Bearers weremade prior to 2012 AGM which streamlined that aspect of the Election of Ofic-ers. CONGRATULATIONS to Past President Mr Bruce Flood who was elected unop-posed, other appointments were Mrs Eileen Gibson Snr Vice President, Mr Gra-ham Colvin Jnr Vice President while outgoing Secretary Mrs Roma Stonestreet &outgoing Treasurer Mrs Sandra James were returned unopposed.
