Summary of B19-0509 the, Condominium Amendment Act of 2012

This legislation seeks to make necessary amendments to bring the Condominium Act of 1976 up to date with changes in legal trends and best practices. The bill creates a definition for electronic transmission and amends the definition for a unit owner in good standing. Allows for the relocation of unit boundaries and subdivision. Adopt the business judgment rule to govern decisions of condo boards. Requires open meetings and authorizes electronic meetings. Requires owners to purchase insuranceand much much more!
