Inspired by Picasso’s colourful and playful portraits, artist Mary Noon will encourage participantsare to create their own ‘cubist’
self-portraits out of coloured card and glue.2 x 25 minute workshops. For children aged 3+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

8pm: Night Flight with Rachel Tynan
 
Drop in workshop for all the family. Rachel Tynan will be facilitating this workshop in her Cut Throatexhibition space and using her work as inspiration to help budding young artists create their ownpaper birds. Join her to learn how to make them fly and experiment with Dublin as a city of shadowsand light! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

In August Maeve was commissioned by DublinTall Ships 2012 through Dublin City CouncilArts Office to create
Paper Quays
, a 25 metreinstallation of the city quays from the FourCourts to the Customs house. Now she invitesyou to ceate a cut paper artwork of a Dublinbuilding in this short intensive workshop.Make a paper piece of a well known buildingsuch as Sunlight Chambers on ParliamentStreet, the Customs House, City Hall, the GPOand others. Alternatively, bring your own favourite example of city architecture to work from. Learncutting techniques, methods for 'drawing' in cut paper and how to display your completed work. 60minutes. This workshop is suitable for over 16s only.

For Culture Night, Fiona will share with you some of herfavourite storytelling games and will teach yousome simple stories that have a surprise and a bit of amagic trick in them - including some drawing stories fromaround the World!This workshop is for children and families. Brokentalkers is a Dublin based theatre company formed in 2001 by Feidlim Cannon, Damien Fenty,Gary Keegan and Faye Munns after graduating from De Montfort University, Leicester.Over the past 10 years, under the artistic directorship of Feidlim and Gary, Brokentalkers has built areputation as one of Ireland's most innovative and original theatre companies by making formallyambitious work that defies categorization. This work has been presented in a variety of spaces,ranging from theatres to public spaces, disused sites and the Internet.An Irish Company with an international outlook, Brokentalkers is committed to touring our workinternationally and developing relationships with international partners, to date presenting work inScotland, England, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, France, New Zealand and USA . The FlawsThe Flaws
are an Irish Choice Music Prize-nominated, Meteor Award nominated indie-rockquartet, hailing from Carrickmacross in CountyMonaghan and Dundalkin County Louth. The bandreleased their debut EP in Summer 2005 and theirfanbase has been growing in Dublin, Dundalk,Monaghan and other pockets of the country since2004.

anticipated second album was recorded at Tumbleweed Studios in Dundalk, was self produced andmixed and engineered by Jason Varley. The end result showcases how much The Flaws have grownas a band, track after track boasts beautiful harmonies and dazzles with glitteringguitars.The Flaws consist of: Paul Finn on Vocals/Guitar, Dane McMahon on Bass/Backing Vocals, ShaneMalone, Lead Guitar and drummer Colin Berrill.

is an ALIEN POP duo basedin Dublin. Members MARC2 andGLITTERFACE use analogue andmodular synths teamed with electronicbeats and live drums (RORY DOYLE -SUPERFLY) to create a foundation uponwhich layers of processed and effectedvocals can be thrown - the result is thespectacular sound of NANU NANU. Theband incorporates a strong visualelement to their performances withthe help of leading visual artist JANECASSIDY. The use of mirrors, prisms and LEDs is often put into play to turn the venue intoextraterrestrial wonderland. NANU NANU are a band you definitely WANT to see live!
