Billy’s friends and family wouldn’t dream of missing
one of his legendary crawsh boils. ey’ve become a neighborhood legacy. So when prostate cancerthreatened to put the 66-year-old’s cookoutson the back burner, Billy condently turnedto Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Using sophisticated robotic technology, hisexpertly trained surgeon was able toremove the cancer. e minimally invasiveprocedure provided more precision, lessdiscomfort, and a faster recovery – a recipe Billy could appreciate. e crawsh king resumed hisrole in short order and has been heating things up ever since.

Texas law prohibits hospitals from practicing medicine. e physicians on the Methodist Health Systemmedical sta are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Methodist Health System,Methodist Dallas Medical Center, or any a liated hospital.

gave Billya new reason to
celebrate.

Melissa Love-Tristan
is a one woman welcome wagon. Te rstterm Secretary o the Elmwood Neighborhood Association hasmade it her goal this year to put together an Elmwood WelcomeKit or new neighbors. A lot o people moving into Elmwood thesedays are rst time homeowners or are new to the area and it can bea tough process to gure out where everything is. Melissa is doingthe ootwork or them, visiting our local businesses and those inthe surrounding area, or takeout menus, coupons, business cardsand samples to include in a high quality, re-usable shopping bagwith the Elmwood logo on the side.“My goal is to be a welcoming ace and bring a gi o inormationon behal o the neighborhood association to our new neighbors. When I moved here our years ago rom East Dallas, I had to collectlots o inormation about the area. Where was the local library, what was the best grocery store, what pizza place delivered, whatdays could I water my lawn and when was the trash picked up? Iwant to help answer those questions or new Elmwood residents,”said Melissa. We haven’t started this program yet, so i you are new to theneighborhood and haven’t received one, it’s probably that we just don’t know yet that you’ve moved in. I you are new to theneighborhood, or you know someone who is, please contact
melissalovetristan@ymail.com
and let her know. We’ll get awelcome kit out as quickly as possible.
My goal is to be a welcoming ace and
bring a gift of information on behalfof the neighborhood
