CONTENTS: 6 Math Mats, pair of dice, 12 each of theollowing manipulatives: pennies, red poms, candles, pastashells and bu erasers.
SET UP: Choose 1 math mat and it’s correspondingmanipulatives. Lay themat and manipulatives on the table.Decide which of the 3 ways of play (see below) you will beplaying. Use 1 dice for counting and 2 dice for addition andsubtraction.
Begin with 1 dice. Rolland place that manymanipulatives on themath mat. To make thecounting morechallenging, use bothdice.
Use 2 dice. Roll. Add thenumber of each dicetogether. Put that manymanipulatives on themath mat. Tip: Whenplaying, encourage yourchild to make a mathsentence (ex: 3+5=8) ona ieceof aer.
Use 2 dice. Roll. Subtractthe largest number fromthe smallest. Put thatmany manipulatives onthe math mat. Tip: Whenplaying, encourage yourchild to make a mathsentence (ex: 8-5=3) ona iece of aer.
