Incorporated - Shown on Plan No. 1 Incorporated - Shown on Plan No. 1 & No. 2 Incorporated - Shown on Plan No. 1 & No. 2 Incorporated - Shown on Plan No. 4 Partially Responded with the Following Explanations: There are two lanes of traffic in the SB direction and there are more than 800 vehicles traveling in the rush period Because of the above there is a high chance that we may have a collision in a crosswalk that is marked but with no other enhancements (such as a signal), even if one vehicle stops there is no guarantee that the one next to it will and so we have a pedestrian stuck between two lanes of SB traffic. Even though this is not a marked crosswalk it is still a crosswalk and we included the markings and the median to facilitate a safer crossing pedestrians can get to the median from west or east and wait for a gap and cross safely. In addition to this, installing a signal here would be extremely close to the signal on Vermont and V (which is the main focus here) and this signal would not be warranted (we would not be able to use federal aid route monies to pay for it and that is what we are using for this project) and it would have to be paid with local funding (and there is little funding for this). 5

6. Partially Responded with the Following Explanations: There is no crosswalk on the south side of Sherman Avenue because the timing to accommodate NB movements along Sherman to Florida and Right-only turn movements to Sherman will create extreme back-ups along Sherman Avenue SB in the block leading from Barry Place to Florida Avenue. DDOT would have to create an all stop signal to allow pedestrians to cross this side of Florida Avenue. 7. Incorporated - Shown on Plan No. 1 & No. 2 8. Incorporated - Shown on Plan No. 1 & No. 2 9.
