Century Grill will occupy a 14,351 square foot site in the
Transportation Area adjacent to the Ford exhibit, The restaurant,
seating 600 persons, will also serve hot dogs, Swedish meatballs and
charcoal specialties.
Mr. Constable presented Messrs. Holden and Ratner with silver
medallions of the New York World's Fair.

NEW YORK: -- The World of Food Pavilion at the 1964-65 New
York World

s Fair announced today construction and financial guaran-
tees that assure it will be completed for operations L!-5 days before
April 22nd opening day of The Ji'air.
This is the first multi-exhibit industrial pavilion at The
Fair to post such guarantees. According to Mr, Jim Jones, president
of World of Food, Inc., and Mr. Robert E. Walton, president of
Kaighin & Hughes, Inc., general contractors headquartered in Toledo,
Ohio, who will build the 113,000 sq. ft. pavilion, the guarantee is
"over $3,000,000."
Kaighin & Hughes, Inc., presentlY negotiating to construct
several other Fair projects, is noted for its "ahead of schedule"
construction of the world-famous $140,000,000 Oak Ridge, Tenn.,
Atomic Energy Plant. Mr. John c. Fiebig, of Kaighin & Hughes, Inc.,
vdll be construction coordinator for The World of Food Pavilion.

Guaranteed completion date of the three and one half story
building is 14, 1964, according to the joint announcement.
The Pavilion will be open for limited occupancy February 15 to
exhibitors to begin installation of displays.
Erection of steel girders for the Pavilion, located within
75 feet of The Fair's main gate where over of all 75,000,000
visitors will enter, will start later this month, according to Mr.
Fiebig. All pilings and substructure are nearing completion.
Total exhibitors in The World of Food Pavilion now number
more than 60 companies and associations in the food industry. Among
the prominent food companies are American Sugar Company, Hershey
Chocolate, Thomas J. Idpton Co., The Whirlpool Corpora-
tion, Knox Gelatine, five major food associations, and a division
of General Foods.
Mr. Jones also announced that cost of the 2 year space rental
in the Pavilion will increase in the next few days to a per floor
rate varying from $200 per sq, ft. on the ground floor to $125 per
sq. ft. on the 3rd floor.
Total present leases in hand, Mr. Jones are in excess
of $3,000

000. Another $1,500,000 are drawn and negotiations com-
pleted. These contracts will be concluded "wi.thin days

building contracts announced today.

Food, Inc. J has worked towards this goal,
