Federally Legalize Marijuana
Dear President Elect,
Please immediately legalize marijuana federally.
In 2008 I voted for Cynthia McKinney of the Green Party to be President of the United States of America because she campaigned to legalize marijuana federally. I am also a member of the Green Party because the Green Party supports the legalization of marijuana federally.
Did you know that in 2007 NYC was the marijuana arrest capital of the world totaling 39,700 marijuana arrest?
Did you know that in New York State even AIDS patients and cancer patients can’t legally receive medical marijuana and risk arrest?
Did you know possession of marijuana under 25 grams which is not in plain view has been socalled decriminalized in New York State for anyone since the 1970‘s, however even growing one marijuana plant locked in your dwelling for medical use is a felony forcing medical marijuana patients to source their marijuana from the black market?
Did you know that in New York State black-market marijuana cost a bare minimum of 10 to 20 dollars per medical grade gram?
Did you know patients whom grow even one medical marijuana plant because they can not afford the price of medical grade marijuana obtained on the black-market, risk seizure of all assets by New York State Police before even going to trial?
Did you know that in New York State possession of any marijuana paraphernalia is a misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1000 fine?
Did you know a misdemeanor paraphernalia charge disqualifies American citizens from many forms of employment and financial assistance?
Did you know that pertaining to cost of administration method, medical marijuana use is most efficiently administered by vaporization and that such a device which can vaporize marijuana that has any marijuana residue on it is considered to be the illegal marijuana paraphernalia in New York State which renders the misdemeanor charge?
The facts presented illustrate how New York State enforces the black-market’s monopoly on medical marijuana in New York State through the exploitation of sick and dying New York State medical marijuana patients. For the rest of my life I will continue to only vote for candidates that support the full legalization of marijuana, state and federally.
