org Who We Are The Standing Against Global Exploitation Projector SAGE Projectis a nonprofit organization with one primary aim: bringing an end to human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adults (CSEC/CSE). SAGE contributes to this goal by raising awareness about trafficking and CSEC/CSE issues and by providing treatment services for survivors. SAGEs approach is collaborative as well as prevention and solution oriented; it's about restorative justice that benefits individual communities and the whole of our society. SAGE is unique in that it is one of the few organizations which was created by and for CSEC/CSE survivors. The personal knowledge and experience possessed by the SAGE staff enables them to effectively provide support and engender trust without re-traumatizing even the most fragile of clients.

JOB POSTING TITLE: PROGRAM: Clinical Director Mental Health

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Non-exempt with benefits, 24 hours per week SUMMARY The Clinical Director is responsible for clinical services provided to clients of SAGE in all programs and for problem-solve clinical issues as needed. In addition, this position provides direct clinical services to youth and adults with a history of sexual exploitation including human trafficking, prostitution, rape/sexual abuse and domestic violence. The Clinical Director carries out the position responsibilities with an understanding of the Agencys mission, goals and objectives, within the limitations of the Agencys policies, procedures and resources and in compliance with Agency standards for performance, contracts and grants. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ADMINISTRATION AND SUPERVISION

1. Provides overall direction and leadership to staff providing counseling and group therapy services. 2. Provides clinical and administrative supervision to staff and interns, including reviewing intakes, assigning cases appropriately and monitoring the quality and quantity of services provided to assure effective and efficient service delivery. 3. Leads weekly case review meetings to ensure professional development of staff and a team approach to treatment.

Job Description Page 2 9/28/12 4. Monitors services to clients, including evaluating the outcome of clinical interventions and ensuring that intervention strategies are based on best practices. 5. Provides regularly scheduled treatment plan reviews, file audits and reviews of billing procedures. 6. Assists staff to provide accurate documentation and implement treatment plans in compliance with contract requirements and SAGE standards of performance. 7. Recruits, screens and trains interns, ensuring that interns are qualified to provide services to SAGE clients and that required paperwork is submitted to Human Resources. 8. Maintains compliance with San Francisco Department of Public Health Substance Abuse and Mental Health program requirements, attending monthly meetings and trainings, and completing all required reports in a timely manner; prepares for and staffs compliance audits. 9. Ensures that billing through Avatar is accurate and implemented on a monthly basis. Identifies staff training needs and coordinates provision of appropriate consultation and training activities for assigned staff in collaboration with the Director of Programs.
DIRECT SERVICES

11. Screens all adult services clients for suitability for mental health assessments including MediCal eligibility and in-county residence. 12. Conducts assessment interviews for clients to receive mental health services as needed. 13. Provides individual, group and and family therapy to clients in compliance with the Agency's standards for performance. 14. Provides a minimum of 7.5 direct-service hours per week, including 6 individual client sessions and 1 group session (1.5 hours).
OTHER

15. Participates in all staff meetings and staff trainings. 16. Provides leadership to the Case Management/ Clinical Services team to ensure that uniform standards for case management services are understood and utilized and to create an integrated service delivery model for clinical services (case management, mental health and health). 17. Complies with SAGE Project, Inc. standards for performance. QUALIFICATIONS: LCSW or equivalent license and degree with specific training and demonstrated expertise in the provision of clinical services to youth and adults. A minimum of five (5) years post-licensure practice experience including at least two (2) years of providing brief treatment. Demonstrated ability to administer and supervise staff in a social service or clinical setting. Strong commitment to providing the highest possible quality of service to clients and the community required. Demonstrated ability to be responsive to community needs and to those of staff required. Dedication to working closely and cooperatively in a community-based organization with diverse staff, clients, families and/or partnerships. Demonstrated ability to be creative and innovative, take initiative and inspire and encourage others to do the same. Experience with data collection and analysis is necessary. Knowledge of trauma and PTSD, womens drug and alcohol abuse; EMDR and other proven therapeutic interventions. EMDR certification and trauma-focused work strongly preferred.

Job Description Page 3 9/28/12 Ability to pass state and federal criminal background checks. Ability to obtain security clearance to enter SF County Jail. Must maintain current Red Cross CPR & First Aid Training certifications. Must obtain annual TB skin test.
