andwere well attended when winter weather wasn’t ahindrance. As president he organized a camping out-ing for SMBA members. Mike played with
CountryRain
a band that was considered on the
“fringe” 
bytraditional bluegrass fans. By all accounts they hadwonderful vocal harmonies. He is currently employedby UPS.

Jams and meetings were heldmonthly in Aug/Sept 1983 at Willow Mill Park andthen moved to the New Cumberland Fire Hall in 1984.Jon established committees to enhance membership,attendance, and set goals for the future of the SMBA.Jon has played in several bands, and, since 2005, haschaired the SMBA Music Committee which selects thebands for our shows. He is recently retired as a PAState employee. Jon and Walt Crider made annualpilgrimages to the IBMA events in Louisville, KY. Jonplays banjo for

.Wynne organized a bus trip for members to go seeRicky Skaggs in Maryland. Wynne past away in 2008.

. When the agreement with the barnsowner was not renewed, the shows were discontinued.Tom introduced bluegrass outside of the traditional for-mat with the band

. He is currently asinger/songwriter with the
Shuey Brothers Band
,having released three CDs. He is employed by BrownTransmissions & Bearing Co. and is also the pastor of Fontanna United Christian Church.
 
Tom Clawser
(1986)
Played the acoustic bass and dobro.
Jim hosted hisown series of shows at the Horst Auction Barn, as wellas the Lebanon Valley Bluegrass Festival which washeld in Reinholds, PA every summer. He was active inthe SMBA as emcee for many of our shows and servedon the Music Committee. He was a machinist at PENDUMfg, played bass for
Chester Johnson & The FoggyMountain Grass
, and was a volunteer fireman in theMartindale VFC. Jim was a key figure in bluegrass mu-sic throughout the Central Pennsylvania area. He was apopular promoter of the genre, bringing many wellknown bands to area concerts. Jim past away in 2006.

Lost & Found
andmany popular bands at our shows. He recommendedthat SMBA join the IBMA. He also published our news-letters and show flyers. Walt is employed by York In-ternational, serves on our Music Committee, and isconsidered a masterful guitar player, singer, and yetanother central figure in Central Pennsylvania blue-grass circles. In 2002, Walt released a CD titled,
“Walt Sings Mac” 
, a tribute to the legendary Mac Wiseman.Walt is the lead singer for
