Using spiderscribe.net in the Middle School

Spiderscribe is an online brainstorming tool. Users can create mind maps to organize their thoughts and/or parts of an assignment, using text, web links, pictures, maps, calendar events and links to other files or documents. 1. Go to http://www.spiderscribe.net and create a free account 2. Once signed in, click Create New Map button in upper left hand corner. 3. Click and drag the stencils on the left hand side to the middle of your map. 4. Once a stencil is in place, you may add text, upload a photo or file, create map location, or calendar event.

5. Properties box on right side allows you to change font size, color, background color, etc.

7. Undo/redo, zoom, print, export, and clear options are at the top of the page.

8. To share with others, click Share button on upper right-hand side. Make sure to make others editors if you are working on a project together.
