Philip went to the city of Samaria and told the peopleabout Christ. They crowded around Philip becausethey were eager to hear what he was saying and tosee him work miracles. Many people with evil spiritswere healed, and a lot of crippled and lame peoplewere also healed.Felipe fue a la ciudad de Samaria, y allí se puso ahablar acerca de Jesús. Toda la gente se reunía paraescucharlo con atención y para ver los milagros quehacía. Muchos de los que fueron a verlo teníanespíritus impuros, pero Felipe los expulsaba, y loscojos y paralíticos volvían a caminar.
 
Then God sent an angel togive instructions to Phillip.The angel said,

south along the desertroad that leads fromJerusalem to Gaza

SoPhilip left.Luego Dios mandó unángel para que dierainstrucciones a Felipe. Elángel le dijo: «Prepáratepara cruzar el desierto, ydirígete al sur por elcamino que va de laciudad de Jerusalén a laciudad de Gaza.» Felipeobedeció.
 
An important Ethiopian officialhappened to be going along thatroad in his chariot. He was the chief treasurer for Candace, the Queenof Ethiopia. The official had gone toJerusalem to worship and was nowon his way home. He was sitting inhis chariot, reading the book of theprophet Isaiah.En el camino Felipe se encontrócon un hombre muy importante,pues era oficial y tesorero de lareina de Etiopía.
