Born in Brooklyn, New York, a young man dealing drugs in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

After leaving his criminal life, decided to become a rapper. He released the critically acclaimed album Ready to Die in 1994 and became the central figure in the East Coast rap, which rivaled both the West Coast, led in this case by Tupac Shakur. His career was marked by the continuing disputes between Bad Boy Records and Death Row Records, and yet, until his death in 1997, The Notorious BIG has been celebrated as a hip hop legend. His double-disc Life After Death, released shortly after his death, is the hip hop album that, to date, has sold more than ever, with 28 million copies. He is considered one of the best rappers in history along with 2Pac. Biggie is remembered for his raps and his freestyling, and especially for his flow that made him unique.
