The Path to Freedom
- Page 01
In my years as a teacher and coach, I have worked with countless people from different backgrounds and from all differentwalks of life. What I have learned is that most people, no matter who they are and what they do, want pretty much the same things. They want love. They want to feel that they have a higher purpose and that they matter in some way. They want to be accepted, appreciated, and recognized for who they are. They want to have a feeling of belonging. They yearn for fulfillment. This is what I hear. But it’s not what most people will actually say at first. What they’ll say is, “I want to be happy.”Simple, right? So I’ll ask, “What makes you happy? And mostly they’ll say love, money, success, a great job, a nice house, nice things, and so on. Then they’ll throw in a few other goals on top.I’ll ask them why these goals are important, and they’ll say that they’re not sure...So I’ll dig. ”Find out
why
you want the things that you say you want, and you have the answers to what truly makes you happy.Maybe you’ll even know why you’re not entirely happy now.”

 So what do
you
want
 —
and why?Let us explore some of the core principles that seem to consistently lead us to a place of true happiness, fulfillment, purpose, enthusiasm, joy
 —
and success. I am confident that when we’re through, you will have gained a new perspective, or at least added to your current perspective on where you are right now, where you want to go from here, and how to begin your journey, be it just one tinystep at a time.We will look at what it takes to create beneficial circumstances that will pave the way to fulfillment and success,
whatever that means to you.
We will examine the habitual thought patterns that affect your ability to discover your true potential and identify your realdreams and goals. We will consider what it takes to build the courage to pursue those dreams and goals.Letting go of conventional beliefs and resisting peer pressure will
support
us,
not
leave us stranded. We will discuss howidentifying and eliminating fear is the
only
way forward if we want to become truly fulfilled, joyful, and successful.I’m going to ask you a few questions along the way. These are designed to inspire you to find truthful answers that are right
 for  you
. No two people are the same, but most people generally have the same basic needs: love, fulfillment, and purpose. When theseneeds are not met, human beings become disillusioned, frustrated, depressed, and miserable. No material goods in the world can changethat in the long term.I hope that you will enjoy our journey together and hopefully be inspired to create an even greater life. I’m excited to work withyou. There are countless books and courses and loads of information available on personal development, goal setting, wealth building, success principles, and so on. People have always studied their successful peers in order to learn their secrets. This is howcoaching was born.Whenever really successful people are asked about how they got to where they are, they seem to come up with identical or atleast very similar answers.

Some of those answers are:

They
knew
exactly what they wanted. They had a
clear vision.

They
knew
they could do it (because they simply
had
to
 —
so strong was their inner desire to achieve their goal).

They had the ability and the discipline to maintain their
 focus.

They kept moving forward
in spite of obstacles
.In addition, these people always seem to share common traits:

They generally consider obstacles or problems to be merely challenges which help them grow, learn, and become evenmore likely to succeed.

They accept full responsibility for their own success—and failures.

They believe that they deserve to be successful.

They expect to succeed at anything they set their mind to.

They are willing to put in the work and persevere.

They tend to listen to their gut feeling.

And most of all, they love what they do! They feel passionate about it!Passion is an extremely powerful energy conductor. When you feel passionate about something, you add tremendous strength tothe likelihood of success in that area. Your ability to attract and manifest whatever is associated with that area soars. This is why peoplewith very strong interests tend to always succeed. Passion is pure life expression with very little, if any, resistance attached to it.Doing what you feel passionately about—what you really love—is being truly alive and thriving. If every human being on this planet had (or took) the privilege of living their passion, the world would be a much better place.Happy people create peace, love, tolerance, freedom, and understanding.Miserable people create wars, hate, prejudice, suppression, and ignorance.I choose happy
 —
how about you? The ability to focus comes from knowing what you want—and knowing what you want inevitably comes from knowing yourself. So already we see that your level of success is linked to your level of personal awareness.Ask yourself the following:

What does it mean to be successful? What is success to me?

How do I want to live? How do I want my life to look?

What do I enjoy doing?
