ACCENTUATING THE POSITIVE
Even after three redesigns, H+K Architects staff feels blessed to be involved. "Being able to design this type of housing during your career is the most socially respectable thing an architect can ever do;' says Kronenberg. Throughout the process they developed a strong relationship with the Chattanooga Housing Authority, relationships that Kronenberg says flourished under the thresholds and deadlines. "We became like a sports team vying to win the championship trophy," he says. "Only our trophy was being able to provide sustainable, affordable housing in our area."
