Rescue with an Emergency Ladder

Method of using a rung of the ladder as a fulcrum and tying a survivor at the end of a belay rope to save him/her. Materials and equipment to be used 2 karabiners Belay rope 30 m long

Triple ladder

Survivor sling

Harness

[Operation procedures] 1. Extend the ladder. The top should be one meter higher than the top of the wall, because the highest rung is used as a fulcrum.

2.

Tie a triplet bowline knot in the belay rope.

3.

Pass the rope under the lowest rung and pull it to your side.

4.

The attacker passes the rope knot through his belt and climbs up the ladder.

5.

In a work posture at the top of the ladder, the attacker passes the triplet knot between the highest rung and the head.

6.

The attacker sets the triplet knot to the survivor.

7.

The ground member performs a shoulder belay.

8.

After hoisting the survivor, the attacker confirms that the knot, the fulcrum, and that he/she have no problem.

9.

The two attackers hold both sides of the ladder and push it forward.

10.

The ground member takes down the survivor slowly. The rescue is complete.
