This week we have looked at extending sequences and beginning to use algebra to describe them. As well as this we looked at some of the basic ideas behind algebra. We recapped the meaning of inverse and thought about the links between multiplication and division.

This weeks mrpitts.co.uk revision collection is all about division. This is all about 64! Lots of you know that 64 is 8 times 8. So if you were asked to write down all the numbers up to 64 you might decide to do eight lots of 8. [It's a bit like 100 in that you may well write ten lots of 10 to get up to 100 and produce a 100 square.] I want you to try writing the numbers up to 64 in an interesting way so that the shape they make at the end is different, more exciting ... than just a square. On the back of this sheet are some that Ive come up with to show that the numbers can be arranged in an interesting way. What can you think of?
