has estimated record profits in the 3months to September, led by strong sales of itsGalaxy smartphones. Samsung said it expectsoperating profits £4.5bn, nearly double lastyear's figure. The estimates beat analystexpectations sending Samsung shares 1.5%higher. (bbc)

has announced that its 4G network willlaunch on 30 October. O2 & Vodafone havenow agreed that they would not pursue legalaction to block EE's roll-out. Ultrabooks
at a £430 price point. To maintainprofitability, they will also continue to sell premiummachines above £650. The cheaper models willsacrifice premium materials, instead relying onfiberglass-reinforced plastic or metal-plastic hybridbodies.
