First, removethe power cordfrom the outlet.
Attach the signal cablesto receptacles.
Remove signal cablesfrom receptacles.
Attach the power cord to an outlet.
Remove all cablesfrom devices.
Turn the device ON.
Setting Up Your Computer
You are now ready to assemble and start your computer.

If you want to connect a printer to your computer, open theconnector cover.Connect one end of the printer cable tothe parallel connector and the other end to your printer.Then power on the printer.
If you want to use the CD-ROM and the diskette drive atthe same time, you can attach the diskette drive to theexternal-diskette-drive connector as follows:Insert the diskette drive in the diskette-drive enclosure andconnect it firmly

In the U.K., by law:The telephone line cable must be connected after the powercord.The power cord must be disconnected after the telephoneline cable.

.To start the ThinkPad Customization Center, double-click on the
ThinkPad Customization Center
icon.The ThinkPadCustomization Center is launched into the browser, InternetExplorer (Version 4.0 or later).Follow the instructions on thescreen.
Note:
The
ThinkPad Customization Center
icon does notappear on the desktop of Windows NT.If you are usingWindows NT, insert the ThinkPad Customization CD intothe CD-ROM drive to start the Customization Center.Touse the Customization Center, you need Internet ExplorerVersion 4.0 or later.
