Be aware, I AM NOT A WICCAN.

I DO NOT BELIEVE IN HARM NONE, I believe in Nature. Hear me out when I say this,
though.

Think of it: Nature. Think of all the times She's been Calm, yet Chaotic. Think of all the
people She's killed with her tantrums of the Weather. Think of all the harmful things that
have to be done to make room for the Calm things.

To Me, at least, It's all about BALANCE. Calm, Chaos....Life, Death, Renewal...that sort of
thing. Think about the Symbol of Yin-Yang the next time you see it and think of this:
There's always a little Light in the Darkness, as there's always a little Darkness in the
Light.
Sorry, didna mean to go on a tangent, but that's what I believe. I've been a Mystic for at
least 20 years of my life. Before that, I believed I was cursed by God himself.

At first, I did believe in God, then in Wicca, then I had an epiphany. All the things in Nature
that "didn't seem fair" to me....killing for no reason (ah, but there is reason for everything),
destruction and burings, hell in a world where Love and Light was supposed to belong. It just
didn't make sense anymore. Nothing did, so I found I was almost at square one. Where in
the many realms of Paganism did I truely belong?

Then I found the word Mystic. Originally, it was supposed to be a word to replace the word
"Psychic" for my books and stories about the Realm of Dreams. I found more on every
'different' Pagan-type religion out there...and more, and more, and more....hmmm? the Word
Mystic seemed to pop out of my head and onto the paper.... And here I am. A Mystic Witch.

Keep it clear that I, too, am still learning the many Paths of the Craft....I, too, don't know or
ever will know everything about everything....I, too, am still in search for the very Niche to
KEEP me from being who I'm not, and learning to be who I am. I have an open mind, and open
heart, and sometimes a bigger open mouth.

Definition of "True Witch"

WHAT IS A TRUE WITCH??

Ah, there's a question I love to answer...but I'll answer it in NOTS first. What doesn't
make one a Witch.
IT'S NOT:
How long you've been practicing or your family has been into it.
How long you've loved the occult
How long you've felt yourself stranger than the rest of the masses.
How long you've not felt right about the religion your family crams down your throat.

It's not by who you claim to be, but who you are.
It's not by the "rules" of Witchcraft that makes a witch
It's not by the so-called spells and potions you cast
It's not by who you're related to, or how many generations it goes down the family tree, for
those traddies.

It's not who you are on the outside, but on the inside as well.
The Gods Call you to your Path in one way or another.
Something inside of you screaming for release and clarity: Confusion, Hurt, Anger,
Frustration at trying to "fit in" where you feel you "Don't" belong. Pain when the light isn't
bright enough to see by...and those in your life "just don't understand what you've become."

The Learning process is eternal...from one life to another, from one way to another,
bouncing forever from one place to another, one time to another...etc...

What makes a "true witch" is the Witch themselves.

IT IS
How the witch "feels"...close to the Earth, the Goddess/Gods, Entities, Elementals, etc...
Who they are inside, and how they live on the outside. Each witch is different, but there
are those 'little things' that are the same.

Love and Magick.

Love is Universal in everything, in every part of life, everywhere you go.

Magick is always Everywhere you Look, you just have to know how and where to Look.

Five Pillars and Their Correspondances:

There is chaos and there is order. There is death and there is rebirth. There is light and
there is darkness. There is Strength and there is Weakness, There is life and there is
death. Four Gods, according to the Draconians, who live by the Oldest Ways of All, are
these Pillars. Their names and correspondances are to follow.

Goddess SilverMoon, whose Element is Earth, Direction is North, is the

Pillar of Light
Goddess Brigid, whose Element is Air, Direction is East, is the Pillar of Life
God GoldenWing, whose Element is Fire, Direction is South, is the Pillar of
Darkness
God Brakkon, whose Element is Water, Direction is West, is the Pillar of
Death/Rebirth

The Fifth and Final Elemental Pillar, the Center, the Spirit of All, is Ishanar

Five Power-Words of Paganism, According to Adellandra

19Aug2006 I came up with these awhile ago. We need them all to work Magick.
Belief – belief, not only in yourself but in your workings.
Patience – things aren't going to happen overnight; have patience
Imagination – whatever you imagine will happen if you just believe it and have patience.
Concentration – also known as Focus...focus your attentions with your workings.
Visualization – I guess this could go with Imagination, to visualize in your mind and heart,
packed with belief, patience and concentration.

How I Came to Tread Upon My Path:

Two ways actually. First, I'm a fantasy writer in need of ways to describe actions, so I read
up on it and came to the Celts, my ancestors and my heritage. Second was quite by accident,
and boy did it cause a stir! I was eight years old and a little girl bout six years was tearing
leaves off a bush we were playing hide-and-seek in. I could FEEL the bush's pain and HEAR
the screams. Without knowing what I was doing (hey, I was eight, I was young and
stupid)....I took a leaf that was still attached to the bush in my hands and closed my eyes. I
FELT some warm (now I know as healing) energy seep from my body to the bush. From then
on, I was put to shame by those around me, for being "Cursed"...and "Demon Spawn"....and,
oh, my favorite, "Devil's Child". Later I found out my 'Curse' was no curse at all. I am an
Empathic Healer. I work in Dreams now with my healings, but I still have the Empathic
feelings. I'm also a Clairvoyant and have both Empathic and Clairvoyant Visions.

Revelations:
April 17, 2005
*at Fort Drum Army Base, NY*

Something happened today that gave me SOME insight.....I AM a witch, and I can change
that which is around me, and within me as well...the latter coming first of course. In order
to SEE I must OPEN my eyes.

I was supposed to go to church today. I called the chaplain last night and found out what
time to be there....he told me 5pm. Okay, that was a little late for a church service, but I'll
be there, I thought to myself. Well, I went on a long bikeride to get there, getting myself
lost only once. Once I did, it was 1630 and no one was around. I looked at the board in front
of the Chapel...he told me the wrong time!

That was fine...I took out my writing notebook and a pen and wrote the correct times down
from off the board, along with a number...flipping thru the notebook were papers I'd
forgotten were there. Within all the papers of my former writing ideas was a spell.

I was shocked...when did I write THAT? hmm...it was a 'help this woman' kind of spell, and it
was really messed up. It called the Lady Brigit Goddess while Lord Curnonos (? on spelling
for now) as Lord. and all sorts of things were wrong...it didn't rhyme and didn't feel right.

I took my bike and went to sit in the shade to rewrite it. I sat on on the grass while I did it.
When I was finished, I closed my eyes and took deep breaths, reciting it. I felt something
tingling inside and it wasn't the light breeze...I opened my eyes and thought of something,
on a whim.

I spied a fallen leaf, left from Autumn, and picked it up, examining it..."not all things have to
be perfect to be pretty" I thought to myself, only it didn't sound like me. Again, holding it
in my hand, I closed my eyes and came up with a short chant....wind no more, calm as
before...(there was a breeze in the air)...over and over, I chanted this, thinking, I can do
this. I am a Witch....after a few repititions of this, the wind died and I looked to my hand
again at the leaf.

I stared at it on my palm, smiling...now, to try something else....if I can stop the wind for a
moment or two, can I also bring it back? winds of the seas, I call to thee, take this leaf
from the hand you see....after a few repititons of this, it worked. The wind only blew around
me to move the leaf from my hand.

unbelievable! I thought to myself...not wanting to get a big head over it, and seeing that I
was alone and all was peaceful and quiet, I meditated, deep breaths in....I feel the + going in
my body and filling my being....and out....Go away - thoughts and actions....I went inside
myself and saw my Guardians....Wolf. I'm not going to go into the conversation he had with
me, but I will say this. I have a better outlook on things now. All I had to do was Open my
Eyes and See.

I am a Witch....as always I'll be, not for anyone else I am but me.

Short Explanation of the Basic Ancient Mystic Powers:

Ancient Mystics are blood-born with five basic powers. In this excerpt from "Young
Guardian Saga: #1: Welcome to Your Destiny!, Shannon Ryan explains to me, as Bonnie
Louise, about the Basic Ancient Mystic Powers. What she didn't explain to me, is of a Power
I already knew I had: Healing. Another is of Photographic Memory and ShapeShifting.
Following the excerpt is a short definition of what those powers ARE.

"The rules state: ‘Those females born of the Mystic are Young Ones until
they conceive their first child, or turn twenty-one. Then, and only then, are
they considered Mystics.’” She paused, explaining. “It’s different for male
Mystics, called Wizards. You’ll learn that later. Anyway, from any Mystic's
birth, the powers are weak, and they only have the five basic powers of
telepathy, clairvoyance, empathy, premonition and telekinesis. When a live
birth occurs from a Mystic female, such as in your case, your powers are
heightened to unlimited proportions and you’re called an Elder. It would be
up to you to learn how to use them to your utmost advantage. However, such
as in my own case, without the live birth taking place, the basic powers
aren't as developed."

Clairvoyance -- power to "See" beyond normal senses, such as Auras on objects, visions of
past events and places not already known. The Grand Magus' strongest power.
Empathy -- power to "Feel" or "Sense" beyond normal senses, feelings, emotions, and fears
hidden deep within the soul. This is my strongest power.
Healing -- power to "Heal" any kind of wound, inner or outer, emotional or physical, using
"Mystic Force" to "probe" inside the body, mind and soul of another and focus on the
problem. Very complex, for "Healing" is a clump word for all Healing Arts.
Telepathy -- power to "Read" someone's mind, and send messages without verbal words.
Eye contact and simple gestures go along with it.
Telekinesis -- power to "Move" objects using only your mind. Another form of this is
pyrokinesis, the power to use fire with only a thought.
Photographic Memory -- power to "See" visions of things as they happen. This happens
often for pairs of twins, for example.
Premonition -- power to "ForeSee" the future, in visions.
ShapeShifting -- easy concept. the power to "Shift" your form into anything you like. I
usually take the form of either a Dragon, a Wolf, or a DragonWolf, but I am not limited to
these.

Story of an Ancient Mystic Draconian Wolf:

I am a Mystic Draconian Witch. I say this for several reasons.

I am a writer as well, writing my books and stories. My main magickal characters are called
Mystics. The women are Sisters while the men are Wizards. The main character, Young
Guardian Bonnie (yes, after me, and I'll explain why in a minute), is an Ancient Mystic, with
great powers immeasurable.

She is also who I want to be, at least who I used to want to be. Young Guardian of the
Dream World....who is me, of course, only better and more powerful....her 'role' in the
stories is to be a Guardian Angel-type Mystic to those in the Realm of Dreams I call
Dreamers (people in their waking lives, only asleep) when she patrols there.

The Mystics have five basic powers from birth, which I believe I have in some amount.
Empathy (duh), Clairvoyance (another duh), Telepathy (working on it), Premonition
(sometimes!) and Telekinesis (I would only wish!)

Hence the reason I started calling myself a Mystic Witch.

Getting to the Realm of Dreams now, and the link it has with Animal Magick. (Realm of
Dreams as in my stories, that is).
I have Ted Andrews' book, "Animal Magick," and use it not only for Magickal workings, but
my writing as well. Because in the Realm of Dreams, there are magical animals called
Companions. Different species of different races of animal-human hybrids that live there
and keep Dreamers Young and Elder happy and out of harm. Well, going on, I'll say that I
also have DJ Conway's book "Mystical, Magickal Creatures," along with a lot of other
magickal books that have helped me, not only in my writing but my Magickal workings.

Before I even thought of myself as a Witch or a Mystic, I was just me, with these abilities
that God gave me...only then I thought of them as curses....now, I know better. One dream I
remember having was of when I was working on the beginning of the Dream World
Chronicles...my Katherine (balinese cat) character had to have a love interest in order for
the story to continue. Well, I thought of a wolf, immediately. Ever since, I've been in love
with wolves.

Once the stories were underway in my mind and on paper, the characters were getting
interesting...and really opening up my way of thinking.

If I can make my characters do all this cool magic stuff, why can't I do it as well?

That's what made me look into Witchcraft as an answer to my prayers.

Getting back to the Animal Magick books, I have had over the years many Guardians-Guides
on my Path. Those that stuck in my mind, I used later in my books, letting them speak for
themselves through me and on paper. a Cat, a Wolf, a Raven, a Unicorn, and a Dragon were
my Guides that later became characters.

Katherine, the balinese, was one of them. She was the first, to get me out of my shyness
and help me thru childhood beatings and life. Wolf, her canine love (had to twist it up, and it
worked!), was a guide in many dreams and workings of my own...he's a Timber Wolf. Lord
Guardian O'Dell, the Unicorn, was always there with me, guiding me, along with my Guardian
Dragon Cyrix, teaching me the ways of the Young Witch. The Raven is a new one I learned
about in a past-life reading. I didn't know much about them (there are two) except that
they were like Odin's ravens, Hugnin and Mugnin, Thought and Memory.

All those memories and places I'd written about were real. And I would come to incoporate
them deep in my Spiritual Path one way or another.

This is where my story gets interesting, and my life and Path lead me back to a time of long
ago, of a place I'd written in the stories called the Dragon Lands. A Path that led me to my
true-name of Adellandra Dranna Dratianos and my true-mate, Draconis.

Lord Draconis Vilinos Dratianos is the Emperor of the Dragon Nations. When I met him, I
was my Lady Guardian self, and fighting with a piece of my nemesis Orthos. He became my
friend first, then my brother as I found that Dracora, the Countess of the Dragon Lands,
was his younger sister. As the days went on, we became more. I began to have feelings for
him once he declared his eternal love for me. I started to turn to him for anything my heart
desired, between boredom, when I was upset, questions about my true-self and anything I
could think of. I turned to him, and he to me.

We are now mated, and he is teaching me a new Path that mingled with the rest. One that I
and finding quite intriguing, but darker than my Lighter Path. Draconian, magick of the Old
Ways in their truest form, balancing. Now I am For Balance is Always the Key to All.

There's a lot about me and my kind of Craft I practice. I've forgotten a lot, but then, I'm
remembering a lot more everyday, like a stream that leads to the river which leads to an
ocean called my Magickal Memories.

Creation Stories:
A Few collected Creation Stories. One from the Ancient Mystics and the other from Scott
Cunningham, a late Pagan Author. Others will come in time, as they're known.

Ancient Mystics Originators' Story:

Long ago, before time was, the world was young. Powerful people with Magics
of the Ancients ruled. They were the Mystics.
The Ancients were proud of the Magic they learned, and rewarded them
with a spell that took them to the Realm of Dreams, also known as the
Dream Realm.
Back on Earth, the Mystics lived in harmony with those without Magic. They
learned to heal the wounded, soothing the aches and pains brought by war.
They watched over the Earth, using its secrets to act as one with the
Ancients.
As history predates, the Mystics were soon hated and hunted for their
Magic. Lost in a world where their special Magic was banned, the remaining
Mystics fled for safety.
The last four sister Ancient Mystics, Enchantra, Challandra, Mystica and
Jezebel, were caught in what is now called “The Burning Times.” Mortals
thought their Magic was witchcraft, and the women were fit to burn at the
stake. Rather than burn, the sisters sought refuge in an abandoned cabin
deep in the woods.
It is there they met up with four Wizard brothers, O’Dell, Orthos, Maxwell,
and the newly-titled Lord Byron. Together, their fate was sealed.
For those Wizard brothers had their own power, able to do great things
unwelcome in that time. Sealing a pact and calling the Ancient’s Spell, the
eight Originators broke away from the Mortal Realm to their own sanctuary.
So the Dream Realm was Originated, and so were evils beyond mortal
imagination.
As with every group of people, there were differences of opinion. A dark,
evil Magic burrowed into every soul in the forms of jealousy, deceit, desire,
and pure hatred. It would haunt them the rest of eternity.
These are the stories of those eight Originators and their families, whose
constant battle between good and evil leaves room for adventure, suspense,
drama, and love.
Welcome to the Realm of Dreams.

Before Time Was:

Before time was, there was The One; The One was all & all was The One.
And the vast expanse known as the Universe was The One, all-wise, all-
pervading,
all-powerful, eternally changing.

And Space moved. The One molded energy into twin forms equal but
opposite, fashioning
the Goddess and God from The One and of The One.

The Goddess & God stretched and gave thanks to The One, but darkness
surrounded them.
They were alone, solitary save for The One.

So they formed energy into gases and gases into suns and planets and moons;

Goddess and Gods, satisfied by their works, rejoiced and loved, and were

From their union sprang seeds of life, and of the human race, so that we

incarnation upon the Earth.

The Goddess chose the Moon as her symbol, and the God the Sun as his
symbol to remind
the inhabitants of Earth of their fashioners.

All are born, live, die and are reborn beneath The Sun and Moon; all things
come to pass
thereunder, and all occurs with the blessings of The One, as has been the
way of existence
before time was.

Creation of the Dweller kin-Clans

Those in the Dragon Nations were called, Draconians, and were at war.
Countess Dracora went to Lord Guardian O'Dell of the Realm of Dreams for
advice. He gave her an Earthbound Spell to take her to the Mortallan Realm
with a small band of her people. In the Outer Realm, Dracora renamed
herself Shylee, the only Draconian known as “Dragon-kin” Earthbound. She is
now known as the Queen of the Dweller kin-Clans.
She took four mated pairs with her to the Outer Realm once the Spell was
Called. Those mated pairs were known as the “Havens-kin”. The First two
Earthbound-Draconian mated pairs were soon known as the “Ancient
Watchers”, King Goldenrod and Queen Silver Starchaser. Their clan was
known as the “Watcher-kin”. The second pair were the “Ancient Jewels”,
Moonstone and Sunstone, who's clan was known as the “Jewel Elder-kin”.
The third were Lucius and Marisa. They were Apprentices to those, their
clan aptly named the “Apprentice-kin”. Sight unseen, a demonic pair
happened to slip through as well when Dracora called the Spell. They would
soon be known as “Stalker-kin”, those Turned kin who were as evil as they
come. For Stalkers were the main influence for the Realm's vampire stories
and legends.
From those first kin-mated pairs, came four others. Shape-shifters of the
Watchers spawned those called the “Beast-kin”. From Moonstone and
Sunstone's stone-magic Jewels came those called the “Essex-kin”. The
Apprentices spawned two others, a roaming kin-clan from the desert known
as “Gypsy-kin”, and India came “Cove-kin”.
They were all known as Dwellers because they were forced to 'dwell' within
the night. The Mortallan sun threatened their very existances.

Witch's/Wizards' Rules to Live By:

Collections from various sources, compiled and put into most basic of forms. Rules are Rules,
and are usually not meant to be bent or broken. The first set are from a Pagan Yahoo!
Group, the second and third sets, "Code of Chivalry" and "For Magick and Wizardry" are

The Code of Chivalry was the Rule of the Knights in the Middle Ages, who were formally
sworn to uphold it as the first true Champions of Justice. It was said to have been first
established by King Arthur for the Knights of the Round Table. Here are its ten most
important rules.

For Magick and Wizardry:

In Magick and Wizardry, there are rules. The Wizard controls his/her life and changes
their destiny through interaction with the Universe within all of its dimensions. Here is a
list of Rules for Magick and Wizardry.

3: The best way to predict the future is to create it.

the Realm of Dreams has been told to me, and I am in full understanding of my separate,
but important destiny. The Mystic Sisters, Enchantra, Challandra, Mystica, and Jezebel,
along with the Wizards, Lord Guardian O’Dell, Lord Byron, and Lord Maximaniac, will stay a
part of my life and being. I will ask their permission before going against their wishes.

The Crusaders of the Realms Oath:

In order to be an official Crusader of the Realms, you must go through this Oath with Elder
Crusaders and an Ancient Mystic to witness.

The Blood-Oath:
I first thought of this when I was a child. I used this to bind Aaron "The Unicorn" and his
twin "Amethyst Fairy" to me before I left the Orphanage. My Ancient Mystic blood gave
them the Unicorn Magic they are now known for, and also gave them official Mystic status
among the Family. I also used this to share my Mystic Healer's power with my twin Adarra
*Then called Jenni*, when she needed it most. I now use it for every blood-binding I do.

Dagger in hand, cut into each the skins of those that will be bound, so a thin
line of blood seeps through. Clasp together hands, saying the following for
each.

"What's mine is yours, and yours is mine.

"Part of mine now yours until the end of time."

Witches Go Round In Circles!

Wiccans go around in Circles!
Worship and magic both are done in what are called Magical Circles. The
purpose of a circle is to separate the people within it from the outside
world. They are outside of time and space. Time passes differently inside a
circle, and it tends to be warmer inside than outside. Each Circle is divided
into four Quarters. Each Quarter faces a direction. Each Quarter also
corresponds to a time of day, a state of being, a season, etc. This is a table
of those correspondences.

health-boosting ritual. To start, on your altar place a white candle in the
center, then light it and say:

1. The Divine Self (thou art god) is expressed within The Ethic of Self- Responsibility. No
one is in control of the Self except for the creator of the Self, the person that "owns" the
body. We see ourselves as divine, therefore, we know that we can do anything. Magick
becomes possible through faith in the Self, because faith is magical...Our rites of
Attunement to the divine self include the practice of Ritual, and occasionally, High Magick,
but also includes meditation, dance, drumming and anything else that makes us feel "in
touch" with our Selves.
2. The Divinity of the Gods, or the "Other Powers" defies immediate explanation as do the
gods themselves. In Wicca, our gods are more like parents, the Divine Father and the Great
Mother, and less like the fury-fueled jealous God of Christianity. Our rites of Attunement
to the Gods are nearly all celebratory in nature, with the more intensive rituals combining
the divinity of the gods with the divinity of the Universe in worship of the lunar and harvest
cycles.
3. The Divinity of the Universe is subdivided into three groups. In Gaeism, the Planet Earth
is a creature and each individual being, plant, animal or mineral is a part of that being, which
is usually, but not always, named for the Goddess Gaea or Gaia. In Animism, each thing be it
a windstorm or a rock, has a spirit of its own. In Cyclic Totality, or Cyclicism, it is the laws
of the Universe which are divine, be they the cycles of celestial decay, or the harvests, or
the birth-death-rebirth of the nitrogen cycle.”

On the first night after a baby is born, or on the same night that the birth
takes place, the mother or father should take the infant out under the
stars. The child should first be held up to the sky, saying:

As the Young Guardian

Before doing this, meditate…

Go into the woods with your Guardian-Guide and lead up to the stream…leave
all your worries and cares behind as an offering to the River of Regret.
When you feel you’re ready, go ahead and open your eyes, take a deep
breath and go outside.

Hands place firmly on the ground, fingers spaced evenly out, close your eyes
and imagine a power of light flowing from the earth to you, and a power of
dark leading from you to the earth… the former would be for the good
energies back into you and the latter would be from the bad energies flowing
out of you to be reused in the earth in another form. As you do this, say the
following…
“I call upon the Earth and say, this is power, this is my way,
“I call upon the Earth and see, this is power, this is me.”

Continue chanting under your breath, then aloud as each repetition of the
chant is called. Until you feel refreshed and anew, and need grounding food
to rejuvenate any unused energies.

With Athame (dagger will do) in one hand and wand in the other, raise hands

Get comfortable, take deep breaths, concentrating on your breathing.
In your mind, envision yourself in a peaceful valley, at the edge of a cliff
looking down on the glistening waters below. Throw all cares and worries into
the river/ocean, turning your back on them once finished. They're gone from
your mind, and no longer exist. In front of you is your Guardian Dragon,
waiting for your call. Now that your mind is focused and clear, ask the
following:

"Show me what I wish to see,

The darkest secrets haunting me.
Give me the answer of Knowledge true,
Show me what I have to do.
Balance of mind, soul and self,
Is the key to absolute health.

Dragon's Meditation of the Elements:

Close your eyes, deep breaths. Relax.

Open your inner-eyes and senses as the scene opens and unfolds before you.
You're in a wood, leaves rustle in the gentle spring winds around you. The
smells, the sights, the sounds, the textures come alive around you. The
flowers, the trees, the birds chirping, the very texture of the leaves.
Everything is awake around you, and you feel a certain energy in this
forested wood.

There are three paths marked on the ground. One, to the far left is barely
noticible, not very clearly drawn in the dirt. The middle one is beaten and
worn, it would seem a favorite path for many to take. The one on the right is
covered in leaves and mud, but still there. You are in the middle,
contemplating which one to take when you hear a rustling behind you.

Sensing someone behind you, you look and see a dragon.

A Dragon! And he - she - it's smiling at you, in a knowing grin that tells of
knowledge in that mind of theirs. The dragon nods his head in a hello before
speaking.

"There are many roads traveled, and many that still need to be." The dragon
says. "Follow the path of intuition and let it be your guide."

"Which path shall I walk?"

The dragon shakes its head. "You will not learn unless you open your eyes to
that which is about you. I'll guide you to the answer you seek."

You mount the dragon's back and prepare to fly.

The first place the dragon takes you is to the middle of the forest.
It's a clearing, where no trees have been for centuries it would seem. In the
middle of this clearing is a single sapling, a young tree. You jump off the
dragon's back to investigate. Once seeing the sapling up close, you see it was
recently planted, for dirt was still around the fragile little tree's roots.
"Tell me how it survives." The dragon asks of you.

"The sun shines on it, giving it light, the rain falls upon it, giving it
nourishment, the earth shelters it, mothering it, and the trees around it
give it shelter and shade, protecting it from the elements."

"Aha!" The dragon laughs. "The elements. Strange things, elements. You,
young one, have just learned about the Earth. Hop aboard and I'll show you
more."

Again, you mount the dragon's back and prepare to fly. In midair, it flaps its
massive wings.

"Look around you. What do you see?"

"Clouds, birds flying in the distance, the sun."

"What's more?" The dragon asks. "What do you SEE? Open your eyes, young
one and SEE."

"I feel the air and wind."

"And?" It prods.

"The stars, the trees reaching for the sun. What more?"

The dragon laughs and jerks as it plummets to the ground below. Before it
can crash, it lifts up and soars to the sky again.

"Feel that?" The dragon asks. "That is Freedom! Freedom of flight, minds,
everything around you is free. There are no limits in the skies. It has no
beginning and no end."

The dragon slows its flight as it leads you to a river. It descends and takes a
drink.

"Water." You whisper, but it hears you.

"Right." The dragon supplied. "Tell me about it."

"Its cleansing, nourishing, warm and wet."

"Good start." The dragon said, nodding. "Anything else you can think of?"

"It houses all sea creatures, feeds plants and animals alike, relaxing to listen
to, and shows our reflections on the surface."

The dragon said. "Wonderful observations. For a start. Now you will see
what fire is like."

The dragon takes you to the skies again, to a forest fire. Not very large, but
enough to do some damage.

"What happened?"

"A hunter left the bonfire going when he left. He believed it would smother
itself out." The dragon explains. "What can you tell me by this display?"

"Fire is fickle. It can destroy, yet leave in its path a new beginning. It can be
dangerous if not handled correctly. There are a lot of things I see by this
display, but there's more to it than that."

"Tell me what else you see."

"It's warm and inviting, lets you see in the dark, and kills bacteria when
cooking food."

"Do you wish to learn more about the elements?"

"Yes."

The dragon takes you where you began, at the opening to the forest of
trees and the three paths in the ground. As you dismount, the dragon tells
you the following.
"Each path is different, yet its all the same. It's not the destination that
matters, it's the journey. The choices you make impact your life and how you
live it. Knowing this, do you have any questions as I leave you?"

You smile. "Yeah. Which path to I take?"

The dragon disappears, and you walk the path your intuition pulls you.

The scene disappears from your mind and you open your eyes and take a
breath. Now, how do you feel?

Interpretation of the Elements:

First off, I don't claim to know everything about anything, let along anything about
everything else. I just am. As of today, this is my view of the four elements, plus one. Later,
I may (and probably will) look at this again and burst out laughing, think...WTF was I
thinking!? But for now, quickly I'll go over what I know NOW.

Earth to Air, Fire to Water, Akasha the Spirit of All... Five Elements are the basis for all
live on earth. Each impacting each other.

To begin at the beginning.

Earth
Plainly, the very planet we live on, the very 'womb' we came from and where existance is
nothing without. But what do Witches mean by Earth? The Mother or All, who Nurtures.
She is Nature, in all Her Wonder and Fury. And that's just on a good day!

Air

Winds and Skies, Air blows, flows, who knows? It carries, warms, cools, sends, descends,
transcends (okay, enough 'sends' words...). The air is what we breathe, sure, but what else
is it for? Lingering scents are carried to our noses through the air...but that's not what
most Witches mean by Air.

Fire

I've pretty much summed my definitions of Fire in the following Poem.

Fire is.

Fire is power, fire is grace

Fire is destruction, fire is race
Race against time, race against reason
Fire is the blaze of all four seasons
Warmth and comfort, light and life
Fire is energy bright
Where there's fire, there's flame
The burning bright reasons
For life and fame.
The candle burns, the memory turns
Fire within every life learns.
Fire the element is awash with delight
Fire Burns, Fire's Flame, Fire's bright the night
when one's lost in dark's name.
Fire to the earth is rebirth and flight
Moves quick to destroy, warms quick when lit right.

Those are just a few stanzas I can think of that help me describe to
you what I believe Fire is to me, on my level anyway.

Water

Cleansing, comforting, water....to swim, to bathe, to drink...so refreshing! But why is it so

refreshing...not just the molecules of H2O, but more. We can freeze it into ice cubes, make
Koolaid out of it, ad infinitum...one of the Earth's natural resources, water is a lot of things.
A Witch can add salt (to represent Earth) to it and make a Blessing potion. Like I said, many
things.

Akasha

The Spirit is one and All...the Center of being, this spiritual essence of all beings that live
on earth...the very life of us. Some think of spirit as ghosts, those beings who have passed
on to the Summerlands, or those not able to find their way 'home'....others think spirit is
our own soul-spirit. They're right. All of them.

Ishanar Reborn! Invocation

On the Night of the Blood Moon, October 7th, 2006, the birth of the Dragon Nations'
Ishanar was reborn, by the hands of Lord Draconis and myself, his Lady Adellandra, for I

Lady Luna Ritual

The Charms I wear around my neck are empowered by the Light of the
Moon. They're cleansed by each of the Elements and left in the Moonlight
overnight.

Materials: Charms in hand, a small bowl, water, salt, candle, lighter/match.

To Do: Mix salt with tapwater in the small bowl, light the candle. With the
charms, douse in salt-water, "From Earth and Water," then through the
flame, "From Air to Fire." Once the charms are cleansed, go to the night's
Full Moon and offer them to Lady Luna.

"Lady Luna, I call to you, come and cleanse these charms with your magic,
for strength and protection."

Kneel and meditate, with charms at your chest. Imagine taking the Moon's
Magic into you and your charms, a bright white light surrounding you.

Stand, raising the charms up once more. "As Above,"

Kneel again, touching the Charms to the ground. "So below."

Sing the Goddess Chant Three times:

"Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Innanna."

Rise and set the charms in an open window closest to the glow of Lady Luna.

Message to a Loved One

Spell, incantation, really, for a message to loved one from the heart. To be
used when the loved one is either away, or you are.

Materials:
Tarot: Aces of each suit, and any card which may help in what to say and
bring to the message.
Picture of the loved one.
Wand

Start by doing the usual "sweeping" out negative energies, then opening of
the Circle, chanting a rhyme of your own making, or even the Mystic's
Rhyme. Place the picture on a smooth surface, preferably the floor.
Surround it with the Aces in their respective directions for their element.
(See above). With four other cards, close the circle around the picture,
saying and thinking:

I send the power of (card) to you, so you may (what does it do)

If need be, use another card to give yourself strength or any other help you
need in order to send the message. Tap each card, all eight, with your wand,
thinking of the loved one and sending each separate message. Go clockwise,
for positivity. After that, hold your wand in your hand, close your eyes, think
of the loved one and send the message. Be sure to keep the picture of the
loved one in your mind. When finished, tap again, clockwise, saying:

I gave you (power of card)

For each. To make it more powerful, if you wish, you can stare at the picture
and think the message to them. As you stare, your wand is touching it.

So Mote it Be!

Close the circle with the Mystic's Spell (or whatever rhyme you wish to use
to close the circle.) Be sure to go in the opposite direction to close it.

New Year's Spell

To be done on either Samhain (Pagan new year) or January 1st.

Materials needed: 12 Months Stones, index card, pen(cil), lighter, candle,

flame-proof bowl (preferably cauldron) with water either in it or handy,
lighter, candle (preferably white), and stone necklace with a focus-energy-
protection-type stone in it.

Before you begin, write the most regretted thoughts of the previous year on
the index card.
First, set up the mini-altar in a safe place away from flammable objects. As
you set up, think about what you desire for the coming year. Place the candle
on the mini-altar, the 12-Months Stones surrounding it in a circle. Cast the
circle as usual and light the candle. Pass the cleansed stone of the necklace
over the fire, saying:

"As the new year progresses, may this stone give me ______."

Fold the card in fours before burning it in the bowl. For safety, you can set
the bowl in the sink before you burn it. That way, you can drown the fire
with water.

"By flame of the fire,

"The year past is gone.
"Bring me what I desire,
"As the new year carries on."

Close the circle, as usual, and clean up the mess.

A Consecration Spell

Materials: Tool(s) to be cleansed, salt for Earth, incense (Sandalwood or

Patchouli) for Air, lighter and candle for Fire and bowl of Water.

Close the Circle. Call on the Ancients, asking for their assistance, guidance
and blessings. Meditate, focusing on what you want to accomplish. Light the
candle. With candle=s flame, light (and bind) incense. Mix salt in the water
(bind).

Pass the tool through the incense, saying:

'I bless thee with the power of air.'

Pass the tool through candle's flame, saying:

'I bless thee with the power of fire.'

Dip or sprinkle water/salt mix in/on tool, saying:

"I cleanse thee with the power of water,
"Renewing thee with the power of Earth."

Raise the tool in the air and declare:

"So Mote it Be, You Belong to Me!"

From the Ancient Mystic Gods so Fair

Came a balanced love so pure of a pair
One from the Light, Silver and Bright
One from the Darkness, Chaos and Night
Theirs was the Love of Purest Desires
Theirs was the Balance of Life and Fires

She was Spirit, a Being of the Light

He was Shadows, a Being of the Night
Each yearned for something different and then
Within her the Darkness, within him a Friend
They came together, a Love so Pure
Within the Light and the Night they Endure

Passion's Fires from Dragon's Flame

Each calling the other's names
"Spirit, my Love," He exlaimed unto she,
The Bright and Silver one so Free, "I love you
With thine own heart, my soul, my love, we will never part."
"Shadows, dearest," She purred to her Night, "I love you
As well, for you are my all, for throws of love with you did I Fall"
"A love like ours will never be forsaken," She said,
"Nor from each other our souls will be taken"

And so they were for centuries above

 With the Ancient Mystics Gods did they love
But with each passing gone their brethren were covetous
And green-eyed with jealousy of something they couldn't muss
One day the Mighty Origin of Fates did appear
And tore their Souls from each other dear
"Shadows my dearest heart so true, fear not" Spirit supplied.
"For I am always with you. Think of me in darkest hours,
Think of me in your darkest of powers, and I
Will be there instantly, for they will soon see,
The Gods themselves will never separate you from me!"

They were Realmborn then, in two separate worlds

He a Draconian and she a dragonwolf girl
They eventually found each other again,
Realmbound for Darkness needed his Friend
Realmbound for Spirit needed her Mate
For completion and Balance they did partake
Once the Gods above they did see,
They were not happy they were not free

Once more did The Origin of Fates stepped in

Brought Visions to the girl, took away her friend
Separated and made to suffer in remorse
She thought the hell of it was her fault, of course
As for Shadows, he was strong, but the Chaos was stronger
And War of the Dragon Nations did rage on
Without the Love that had been his heart and soul
There was no more peace, there was no more control

The Ancient Mystic Brethren Gods, they felt compunction

What had they done, with their jealous action?
How could they have been so wrong, in being green-eyed all along?
They should have been happy for Shadows and Spirit
For they had found love where no one else would hear it.
In order to rectify their jealous misdeed, they told all to take heed
For one day, the two would find each other again
and the Chaos of Shadows will be with the Light of his Lover Friend
 It did not take long for the Ancient Mystics Gods plan
To come to fruition, for Fates to take hand.
To bring back the Silver Light of Spirit to He
Who once let the Destruction and Chaos Run Free
To bring back the Darkness of Night to She
Who was swept away by the Fates for her to see
Once a Dragonwolf now a Mystic girl
Stuck now in three different worlds

The Once-Djinn High Lord O'Dell intervened

The Mystic girl was more than what she seemed.
He made her his successor as Young Guardian
And Trained her with magics so she could return once again
She was soon given Goddess Status again
She was the Goddess of Spirit, a helping hand of a friend
Taught of the Special Magics within her soul
Taught to tame the Wildness and within it, Control

On a chance meeting with the Dragon's Emperor

She happened to Feel something in her heart and soul stir
A whisper of a beat so wild and untamed, who was this
Male to make her feel this way, what was his name?
A Simple kiss opened up her eyes, for something
Wonderful, it became quite a surprise
She was his Spirit, and the Dragon's Fire awoke
He was the Shadows, wrapped in a Darkness cloak

The two were one once more, as their souls were balance
Hers was the Love unlike any other, and he was in a trance
She could no longer be with anyone but Him, her heart desired
The Chaos, the Darkness, of His Dragon's Fire within
He could no longer love anyone but her, his soul reawakened
To the Love, the Light, the Spirit she'd partaken

A Final decree to their Brethren they cried

No one would come between them would live if they tried
No one will live to see the light of day,
that sought to take their mate away
 From that day forward, the Gods and the Fates would Feel
How true of a love Spirit and Shadows had, for it was real
The Truest of Loves, of heart, Soul and Desire,

Distant drummers play their song, in hopes someone will listen

It is the beat that guides our path, and the bells of truth that ring it.
In the distance lies a goal. It's up to us to reach it.
That someday we may take control, and have the strength to teach it.
In the distance there is a path, two different beats of drums.
The beaten path is rough to ride, but the smooth one is what comes.

Distant drummers move to music, that only they can hear.

If you take the time to listen, their tune is truly clear.
Each of us is different, each of us is one.
But in the natural order of things, we are all of the same sun.
Is there a way to distinguish, or stop what=s wrong in light.
The answer, no, there is no one that can say what=s wrong or right.

Distant drummers play their song, in hopes someone will sing it.
There is a beat that guides our path, we only have to seek it.
In the distance lays a common dream, where everyone is nice.
There is no prejudice or hate, and are no deaths each night.
Distant singers sing a song, in hopes for a better day.
It is the song of life, to teach our children, so they can learn and play.

In the distance, there are dreams and goals, to be found, tried, and true.
For life is a lesson we must live, and cannot ever be through.
Until our Summerland day arrives, we continue to reach for the stars.
The best way to get through life is to be exactly who you are.
No one can seek your inner Self, but you and you alone.
Let the elements be your guide, and may they become your own.

Another lifestyle to unearth, another way to reach a goal.

Ancient Mystic Spells and Chants:
What Book of Light from an Ancient Mystic would be complete without selections from the
Ancient Mystic Spells I used in the Dream Realm Chronicles? Aye, I wrote every one of
these, but only performed a few in this Shell. I have said or performed most in the Realms,
so don't ask anymore! I've tweaked them here to be universal, so they could be used by
anyone.

The Ancient Mystic Circle Chant

the “Mystic Forces” may sound familiar, as I wrote it for both Realms in mind, it's here,
too, also tweaked.

Draw a circle in the ground with the Magics Finger-Touch. Chant three times, in the center,
looking at your feet –
Mahl-hik Let Me Be
Mystic Magic, Set Me Free

Slowly, raise your arms to the air, as these words escape your lips –

Mystic Forces, I call upon thee.

I call upon the earth, sky, sun, moon, and wind;
As a new journey begins, I call upon the earth to hold and shelter me.
I call upon the sky to guide me,
I call upon the sun to soothe me,
I call upon the moon to keep watch over me at night,
And last, the wind, to warn me of evil forces in the air.

Call thrice this chant, eyes closed to the world around you, arms raised in a ‘v’ –

Mystic Forces, I call upon thee.

Slowly bringing your hands down, do one of the following:

If alone: cross your arms on your chest
If with others: join hands.

With either, you’ll chant accordingly. Alone, (others in parenthesis)

Mystic Magic,
Set Me Free (Colors of dust)
May the Forces (Allow the Forces)
Watch O’er Me. (To Keep Watch O’er Us)

If going to the Dream World with the Circle, call out in the Provinces Mystic language:

close your eyes and softly chant to yourself,

Mystic's Candle Spell

Close your eyes, think of the Candle's Flame and chant Thrice for concentration, etc.

As I think of the candle’s fire,

Give me x , which I desire.

courage, peace, luck, serenity, hope, strength, persistence, power, etc.

Mystic's Quick Strenghening Spell:

Give me the strength,

I didn't know what to call this one, but since it undoes the Forgetfulness Spell's effects, I
called it “Unforgotten”.

Ancient's Spell
This is the spell Grand Magus used to bind every Mystic to herself and me. Very potent
because it was used with the Dream Realms' Sphere.

When put together, the Dream Realms' Sphere could spell certain destruction and
anihillation for anyone who tries to control it and cannot. The only ones known to be able to
control it are the Originators, who forged it, the Ancient Mystics, Lady Guardian of the
Realms and the Grand Magus.
