Malaysia's national TV on 21 Jan aired a program titled "America thru the eyes of Malaysia" in conjunction with Obama's 2009 inauguration.
The program was littered liberally with flimsy assumptions, cynical views and half-truths laced with hollow rhetoric.
It would not be out of turn to inform the Goebbels inside the fabled walls of the Malaysian government's information ministry that has so far tasted constant great success churning out anti-Semitic propaganda that others have the right to examine Malaysia using fog-free glasses.
If Obama were to carefully observe and follow the daily turn of events in Malaysia, he would be able to make a few clearcut conclusions about the country.
First, Malaysia is a country that is thouroughly and wholly guilty of the crime of human trafficking. A lot of people from many places often are duped or enticed into Malaysia, either legally or illegally by the many big syndicates that are now thriving so well in the country & who often get assistance from various government agency insiders and border inspectors and patrolmen and the ever present local smuggling rings.
These "aliens" are rounded up by agents from the syndicates once they are inside the country & taken to various destinations for employment. Even the famed KLIA airport has its "allotted" share of alien presence. Such activities contribute to more crime and corruption in Malaysia.
Secondly, Malaysia is just one among many countries that do not think much of the notion called religious freedom. Though the nation permits non-monolithic religions, Islamic zeal is highly pronounced within the ruling government circles, and anyone who is misled into embracing the Islamic faith cannot later renounce it at all. It is not permitted.
Thirdly, Malaysia is totally guilty of coddling terrorist groups that happen to belong to the Islamic faith. As far as Malaysia is concerned, anyone from the Islamic faithful is a brother, who cares if he likes to kill a non-Islamic human while going about his daily business.
Fourthly, Malaysia is fully guilty of unashamedly behaving like a vile hypocrite in the administration of the country. The national leaders like to lecture others and boast about democracy busily thriving in the country, but, in reality, Malaysia is well known for practising institutionalised racism even today. People may not be eligible for various jobs if they were of the wrong skin colour. Religious discrimination is also not absent when doing certain matters. Skin colour & religious background are valid considerations in approving certain things.
Fifthly, Malaysia is constantly guilty of hawking virulent propaganda and undiluted verbal abuse against not only certain other countries or races, but also against its very own citizens who happen to belong to minority communities. It's a miracle that the minorities are still so tolerant of such treatment. Perhaps they do not have much choice.
Malaysia's leaders, especially the race supremacy idealists, often like to vent their frustrations or anger at the minorities, more so, if they felt that the minorities were to blame for election losses. The thought that they themselves were the ones to blame never at all crossed their minds. Not only guilty of wrong intentions, but also wholly guilty of criminal action. These people thrive by abusing all those who are not not considered part of their own.
And there are no intentions of limiting its racial & religious prejudices to just within the country. The outside world is now ripe for the taking.
Also, Malaysia is guilty of practising longstanding fraud when it comes to the issue of holding general elections. The media is tightly in the grip of the ruling BN party, and the leaders spare no effort to bring home this advantage. The opposition candidates are sullied and damned at every opportunity. Areas with substantial minorties are demarcated into a single large constituency so that their votes could then be translated into as few wins as possible. Threats, racial insults & physical attacks are permissibly employed by BN supporters. The police rightly behaves as an interested party as well. At the end of the day the self-righteous Malaysia government proclaims that the democratic process in the country has been duly carried out. No wonder, election after election, the BN always gets installed as the federal government. It is scheduled fraud.
Malaysia is also guilty of failing in its obligation to protect its own citizens. The crime rate is increasing every year, and violent crime is is an extremely serious threat to the innocent public. People are not at all even safe inside their dwellings. Break-ins, robberies, murder, rape and kidnapping are all part and parcel of the mayhem inflicted on the helpless public. And some uniformed personnel supposed to be protecting the public have occasionally been found to be involved.
Malaysia is also guilty of practising unbridled capitalism at the expense of her innocent citizens. The government, day in, day out, advertise the country as a tourist haven, but in attracting tourists, the country has also attracted the attention of international drug syndicates and vice rings. The result is increased drug addiction, AIDS and HIV infection & the rising tide of foreign workers within the country. When the foreign workers lose their jobs, they are forced to survive on crime and some of them collude with locals to go on a nationwide crime spree before being eventually shot dead by the police.
Malaysia's government has thoroughly and totally failed to manage the young generation among its citizenry. Many youths are more inclined to participate in motorbike gang activities, gang clashes, wayside robberies, peddling pirated goods, identity theft and fraud and all the easy and comfortable ways to make money. Vehicle theft has graduated into a big business in Malaysia, with export of such items being even done.
Corruption is ever so deeply rooted within the country and almost all government agencies are affected by the illness. This situation is highly aggravated by the policy of stuffing such agencies with people from one particular race.
President Obama would also not missed the fact that Malaysia's leaders are guilty of reckless and irresponsible behaviour. They have made calls for a boycott of goods from a certain nation, but have they studied the potential implications of their proposal ? Many factories & businesses in Malaysia will soon be laying off workers, what if, Malaysia faces retaliation ?
The country is also guilty of practising selective prosecution and the leaders are fully answerable to the question of why minority figures are often targetted for summary arrests either under the police regulations or under the Internal Ministry's ISA law. People from the ruling BN always never need to worry about this.
Malaysia is also guilty of lacking in political courage and conviction.The former dictatorial leader, Dr M, is still allowed to wield great influence over the country, especially the mass media. He, who had never hesitated to fabricate false charges against his opponents and who once pushed that Malaysia could support a population of sixty million, is most responsible for the social and political problems that now engulf the country today.
Malaysia has a lot going for it, but rotten and poor leadership has spoilt the situation in the country and Malaysia is guilty of many, many crimes against humanity; in the fields of social behaviour, national obligations, laws of human justice and international conduct.
Malaysia needs a clean-up and perhaps the US under Barack Obama, might just be the right clean-up man. For now, Malaysia is guilty, guilty and guilty.
Obama's ringing words to the terrorists: "we'll defeat you" should be taken as a wake-up call for Malaysia to make CHANGE. Today. Right now.
