Tata Sky

JV between TATA Group and STAR launched in 2006. Fastest 1 million DTH connection in history of DTH industry anywhere in the world. It offers more than 300 channels which includes some HD channels also. In 2008 Tata Sky+ was introduced which allowed 90 hours of recording. In 2008 Tata diluted its stake in JV by selling 10% stake to Singapore based Tamaseng. In 2010 Tata Sky HD was launched with native resolution of 1080i.
