Lois Frankel leads Adam Hasner by double digits in the congressional election for Floridas open 22nd district. With only three weeks left until Election Day, Frankel is in excellent shape. In the horserace, Frankel leads Hasner by 10 points, 49% to 39%. Frankel is known by about two-thirds (63%) of the district, and a majority of those voters (i.e., 37% of the entire electorate) has a favorable view of her. Adam Hasner, by contrast, is less well known and less well liked within the district. Almost half (43%) of the district have never heard of him, and his favorable to unfavorable ratio is near 1:1 (30% to 26%). The district is friendly territory for Democrats. Under the new lines for Floridas 22nd, President Obama garnered over 57% of the two-party vote in 2008. Our poll shows the President leading Romney by 10 points (53% - 43%), the same ten-point lead that Frankel currently holds over Hasner. In sum, Lois Frankel is in a great position to capture Floridas 22nd district for the Democrats in November.
