Cristiano Ronaldo the Portuguese soccer player. Cristiano was born on February 5th 1985 in Madeira, Portugal. Cristiano came from a poor family that lived in a small house. He started playing soccer on the streets in his neighborhood.

In 2003 Cristiano was signed with a 31 million 5 year contract. Cristiano again justified the high tab when he put together one of their clubs finest seasons in history. He set a franchise record for 42 goals scored, earning himself the FIFA World of the Year honor.

Ronaldos talent and legend had grown considerably after a stint with Nacional Da Liha Da Madeira at the age of 16. Cristiano turned heads with a mesmerizing performance against Manchester United, surprising his team and his opponents with his footwork and deft skills. He made such an impression that a number of Uniteds players suggested to their manager to sign the young Ronaldo.

In all, Cristiano helped steer Manchester United to three Premier League titles. In 2009, Real Madrid offered to Cristiano Ronaldo a five year contract paying $131.6 million, which makes him the highest paid soccer player in the world. He was the first soccer player to win all four main PFA and FWA awards.

Currently Cristiano is playing for Real Madrid in Spain, and for Portugal in the World and European cup. Cristiano set world records more than once; even though he is only 27 years old he has more records than most other players that played for 30 years.
