The Proliferation of Elite Corporatism

The Proliferation of Elite Corporatism

The very term that surrounds the idea of elite corporatism has the tendency to entertain the fears and concerns of an eccentric conspiracy theorist; however, the overabundant rise of elitism from within the world of the corporate sector communicates a truth where vast corporations become more powerful than the people and governments in which they serve and in turn, these all pervasive corporate structures impose a total monopoly on their respective market sectors. The moment when corporations are treated as individuals and amass more power and control than governments will eventually signal an alarming reality that could potentially bring us closer to a commonly contested Orwellian nightmare. After all, corporations are not concerned about the wellbeing of the people in addition to the integrity of free, open, and representative democracy, but simultaneously pursue their bottom lines and people in addition to entire governments pay the ultimate price for their downsizes and miscalculations.

The Proliferation of Elite Corporatism Omar Alansari-Kreger
We are left with another shocking reality in which themasses obliviously neglect; at least this is the case here inthe United States. Governments and multi-national corporationsthat essentially exist as nations onto themselves arepreoccupied with one primary interest and this exclusivelyconcerns the attainment of the bottom line. The application ofan ethical morality is virtually absent from the public sceneand the people are viewed as expendable commodities who existmerely to consume and serve the elite agendas maintained bythese bastions of power. One could almost argue that thepharmaceutical/medical sector and the industries entrusted withthe manufacturing of food stuffs sustaining the food chain areall collaborating with each other for the same bottom lineinterest; this being the maximization of profit, marketdominance, and political power within the center force ofsociety. It does not take a political scientist to realize that thefederal government resembles a system that directly compares tothe stock market which can be found on Wall Street in thefinancial district of New York City. Politicians, public servicecommittees, and entire government departments are bought, sold, and traded by corporate backed lobbies with deep politicalconnections that are working with the three previously statedindustries. This of course all ties into a term that hasachieved widespread acclaim in which the late PresidentEisenhower dubbed as the Military Industrial Complex. Theultimate aspiration here seeks to gain greater concessions ofpower and affluence that is redeemed through vast yields ofwealth. This is the formula that is being practiced by these allpervasive circles target the masses who are being exploited asthe sole source in which the same power mongering bloc hasdevised from its own ranks. We are then left with the fundamental essence of thissystem and the underlying lesson that must be taken away which

should expose the inhumanity behind its public application. Thepeople begin to develop obesity due to the poor quality of foodin which they are putting into their bodies on an everydaybasis. Due to prolonged periods of obesity combined togetherwith extended stints of inactivity, health problems occur andproliferate in severity. In turn, the affected parties have nochoice but to seek out medical attention which then leads theindividual to a sphere that is dominated by the privatizedinterests of pharmaceutical and health insurance magnates.Individuals who seek out such treatment are usually at theirmost vulnerable state and such a system has every opportunity tomanipulate them into total submission; this has actuallytransitioned into a universal standard which can now be found inevery corner of the international community. Thus, those who develop illnesses that transcend intodiseases seek out attention from the conventionalpharmaceutical/medical sphere which replicates trends ofdependency on the prescribed medication or mode of treatment. Inmany respects, these pharmaceuticals that are then distributedthrough every known aspect of the medical sector are essentiallyproviding legalized narcotics to the ill and diseased which inturn leads to substance dependency. Throughout the UnitedStates, health care is unfortunately not recognized as auniversal human right and those who need treatment the most areoften neglected. Individuals who manage to achieve some sort ofmedical insurance coverage seek out treatment only to beprescribed new medications which are being pressed by thepharmaceutical magnates and this is all conducted beneath thepremise of profit/power mongering over the general population.
