Add Zotero to Firefox
1.Go tohttp://www.zotero.org/.2.Click the big “Download” button. 3.Make sure you “Allow” the site to add software to your computer. 4.Click “Install” and when it asks, restart Firefox.
Add Zotero to Word
1.Go tohttp://www.zotero.org/.2.Scroll down to the “Features” section. 3.Click the link for “Integration with Microsoft Word” which will lead you to downloadhttp://www.zotero.org/download/integration/Zotero-Word-Plugin-Installer-1.0b3.exe.4.Click “Save File” and save it to your desktop.5.Open the file from your desktop.6.Click “Run” and then “Install.7.Zotero should now be in the “Add-Ins” section of Word.

Add Books and Articles to Zotero
Make Sure Zotero is Installed
Once Zotero is installed in Firefox, you will see the word “zotero” in the lower right corner of your Firefox Browser:In case that’s too difficult to see, this iswhat you are looking for: If you see the word “zotero,” you’reready to go.
Icons
Once you have Zotero, you should be able to add most any thing to your Zotero library. Just look for new icons in the URL bar of your browser.This image of a folder indicates there are several things you can add. Click the folder and youcan select the ones you’re interested in including.This images represents an article.This image represents an image.This image represents a book.This image represents a movie.Once you find an item you want to include, look for the icon in the URL bar and click it. Thiswill add the item to your Zotero library.

Update Records
Once you’ve added a record, you can see it by clicking the “zotero” in the lower right corner:At this point you can add information by clicking on fields. For example, in the above record,you would want to add the “Place” of publication and the “Publisher.” Just click on those twofields and add the information.You can add files, too. This is especially helpful if working with PDF articles. Just click the“Attachments” tab and “Add” whatever files you’d like to include.
