COMPENSATION
The monetary relief for loss of wages due to work related injury; also,payment for disability ratings given when disabling injuries occur. Types of compensation paid to employees covered by the Act are:
Compensation for disability dependent upon extent of injury.
Compensation in stipulated amounts for loss of some part of the body.
Compensation for death.
Compensation for bodily disfigurement.
 
 Compensation for Death:
Where death is resulted from an injury to a workman who is on receipt of monthly wages not exceeding to Rs 8000 the amount of compensation payableto it heirs will be Rs. 300,000 as specified in schedule.
Death benefits are payable to the dependents of the employee.
Benefits are first payable to the current spouse for life or until remarriage.
Dependent children are entitled to the benefits until they reach age 18, orage 25 if they are actually dependent. Others may qualify, if there is ashowing of actual dependency
 
Disablement
Disablement is the loss of the earning capacity resulting from injurycaused toa workman by an accident.
Disablement’s can be classified as
 (a) Total, and (b) Partial
It can further be classified into(i) Permanent, and (ii) Temporary,
Disablement, whether permanent or temporary is said to be total when itincapacitates a worker for all work he was capable of doing at the time of theaccident resulting in such disablement.
