Paul Saguil
Paul Jonathan Saguil practises litigation at Stockwoods LLP. He is theVice Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Section, a Board director of the Federation of Asian CanadianLawyers, and a member of the OBA’s Equality Committee and Equity Advisory Group of the Law Society of Upper Canada. He has beeninvolved in various advocacy initiatives, including drafting publicstatements and submissions, regarding the impact of legislative and policyproposals on equity-seeking communities. With your support, he hopes tocontribute to Pride Toronto’s work, particularly regarding legal andgovernance issues, outreach and communication, and strategic -planning.
Erika Manata
Erika Manata is a dynamic individual with a strong commitment to social justice and a deep interest in electoral politics, housing, urbandevelopment, and newcomer services. Erika served 7 years as a TorontoCity Hall political staffer and is currently starting a Master’s program in thefield of Immigration and Settlement. She received her B.A. at the Universityof Toronto, where she was also part of the LGBTOUT team. As a previous Dyke March Coordinator, as well as a member of severalLGBT community groups, her focus has been on building relationshipsbetween our community and our allies. She hopes to return to Pride in thecapacity of Board Member to focus on the expansion of Family Pride andto outreach to new members of our community. Erika is fluent inPortuguese, Spanish and French.
Kerry Bell
Kerry is engrossed in various aspects of the LGBTTIQQ2SA community.She served as the Beverage Garden Manager for Pride Toronto 2012. Sheworked with EGALE Canada on Bill 279 getting the message out there for equal rights for the Trans Community. She is currently a Board member atThe 519 Community Center. Kerry started a business in her home countryJamaica, against all odds, honing the skills of LGBTQ youths in theperforming liberal and visual arts, all in a clandestine fashion because of the violent homophobic terrain in that country.With a background in Entertainment and a Degree in Hospitality andTourism Management, she has worked for the top two Hotel chains in theCaribbean as an Event Coordinator. Her work has taken her to numerouscountries and US States. She brings to Canada, and the Board, 12 yearsof international experience in Event Planning, Community Engagement, Arts and Culture.
