NEW POLL: Murphy’s Lead Expands to Six,Momentum Growing Heading into Final Stretch
October 25 2012
Gotham Research Group poll

mirrors Quinnipiac Poll ; Murphy up 47-41 overall,51-39 among womenMurphy lead grows following debates; Strong plurality think he did a better job
Rocky Hill—Today, the Murphy campaign released the following memorandum from Gotham Research Group ona poll conducted for the campaign. This new poll comes one day after the independent Quinnipiac poll showedthat Murphy has taken a six point lead in the campaign.“The trend in Connecticut is clear: the more voters learn about Linda McMahon’s right-wing Republican views, and the more they see the candidates debate the issues that matter to them, the more they move toward ChrisMurphy,” said Eli Zupnick, a spokesman for the Murphy campaign. “As recent polls have shown, Chris’smomentum is growing as he campaigns across the state discussing his work creating jobs, investing in the middleclass, and fighting for women and their health care rights. Voters are seeing through Linda McMahon’s $80 millioncampaign of stale smears and attack ads, and just as we saw in 2010, she has clearly hit a ceiling as voters focuson the election and make their final decision about the race.”
